APPLEBY CASTLE - THANET BEDROOM

You’ll love my place because of the beautiful setting at the foot of the Penines. Appleby Castle dates from Roman times and cherishes one of the few Norman Keeps still intact. An abundance of wildlife are in the 27 acres of the castle park including red squirrels.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. The Thanet bedroom features a double brass bed or alternatively two single beds, antique furnishings and tapestries and an exclusive bathroom with shower, overlooking the inner bailey. Common areas include the bar, great hall, old chapel of lounge, dining room, games room old great hall and inner bailey. Our reception is manned from 8am until 10.30am and from 3pm until 10.00pm. There is always someone at the property in case of emergency or urgent assistance. Appleby Castle sits on the hill overlooking the ancient county town of Westmorland. Set at the foot of the Pennines nestled next to the meandering River there are 25 acres of parkland with many animals and nativer red squirrels in the grounds. Appleby Castle cherishes one of the few remaining intact Norman Keeps in the UK. It is a museum detailing the early Norman history intertwined with the history of the castle, with a time line displays and many interesting characters to meet.
