Located in the beautiful village of Unhais da Serra, Janela da Serra is the ideal place for your vacations! The house is prepared for 6 guests but might accomodate more guests if requested. The living room has a fireplace with a wood burning stove, which is the main source of heating in the house (firewood provided and available in the garage) and has also electric heaters in the other divisions. Accommodation for the exclusive use of guests. The apartment is on a first floor without elevator. I am at your disposal at a distance during your stay, being available by phone at any time. Reception and monitoring during the stay are assured by our neighbor, who is always nearby the accommodation. The apartment is located at the end of the village, where the mountains dazzle with beautiful landscapes. 5-minute walk from the village center and local shops. From the house door you will have access to walking trails through the mountains. Situated 20 km from Covilhã and access to main Torre (top of Serra da Estrela) road. There is however a road linking the village toTorre and the snow slopes in about 30 minutes, accessible by car most of the year. All the equipments in the house are electric (there's no gas installation). The hired power is the maximum allowed for the site but if all equipments are operating at the same time, the electrical cabinet can go off. Therefore, we recomend moderation in the use of the equipments, particularly when cooking using the ceramic hob (you may need to turn off some electric heaters). If the electrical cabinet goes down, turn off the main switch for about 10 seconds and then turn it back on. The electrical cabinet is behind the entrance door.
