Gert Lushing - A self contained cabin on our Farm

This little quirky cabin nestled on top of the Mendip Hills is the PERFECT getaway from the everyday hussle and bustle. We built this ourselves and are very proud. The cabin is situated on our Family ran farm and at the top end of our Campsite. The Oakhill Inn is a 10 min walk from the cabin and cook some amazing 5* food including take away pizzas and burgers. With hardly any streetlights around you can enjoy the stars and peace and quiet. This cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway and is the perfect size to chill without feeling cramped up. The veranda is a lovely addition and has plenty room to lounge out and sunbathe, you can even bbq in front of the cabin. Sorry we do not accept dogs or other animals. Please also note at present we are not allowed for our guest's to have guests in our property due to covid restrictions Guests are welcome to park next to the cabin, bbq in front of or to the side of the cabin. PLEASE note we do not accept dogs, sorry If possible i will aim to meet with you on arrival or at some point to give you an idea of what the area has to offer. We love Oakhill, it is close to so many local attractions including Bath and the Roman Baths and Therma Spa. Glastonbury Tor, Clarks Village , Bristol , Longleat to name just a few. Our local pub The Oakhill Inn is just a 10 min walk and serve some amazing food , they even do takeaway burgers and pizza if you don't want to cook. There are some fabulous local walks including Harridge Woods that has a derelict house and river. Parking is located next to the cabin. Just a 5 minute walk across our field leads to a bus stop that is on the main bus route which starts in Bath and ends in Wells. This is just perfect if you do not want to drive once you arrive, or if you fancy a care free afternoon say in Bath Therma Spa with a couple of glasses of Champagne . The cabin consists of one double bed with a bathroom that has a shower, toilet and sink. The kitchen has a microwave oven and also has a plug in hob so that you can cook your simple meals. The cabin has an small dinning area and small wall mounted tv. Outside you have your own veranda with reclining chairs and also a table and chairs so that you can enjoy the stunning views as the sunsets. If you would like to bring a bbq there is plenty of room infront of the cabin.
