It has a well-equipped kitchen, large living room, spacious bathroom and comfortable beds, and is wonderfully peaceful after a day’s sightseeing in nearby Bath. It is within easy walking distance of the traditional country pub, ideal for a drink or a meal, and only a six minute walk to the train station (ten minutes to Bath), or the weekday bus to Bath. Freshford has been voted one of the best villages in England in which to live! PS It's a great place to stay for the Bath Christmas Market Guests have access to the whole apartment and garden / patio area. There is plenty of private, secure parking on the drive, right outside the apartment. We live next door and are happy to help with anything if required, and can advise on local restaurants, pubs, walks, and cycle routes. If you arrive by train (as there’s no need to bring a car if you don’t want to) we will be happy to collect you from the station if we are free. Nearby Locally there's horse riding, boating and canoeing, fishing, tennis and golf, as well as wonderful walks and bike rides on the canal tow path (ideal for getting to Bath or Bradford-on-Avon and beyond), or some great country walks for example to the Italian Peto Gardens at Iford, or along the river bank to Avoncliff or Bradford on Avon. It’s a traditional country pub with original timber beams, open fires, a lovely garden, and great food, real ales and fine wines. Freshford is easy to get to – less than two hours from London Paddington by train and a short drive from the M4/M5 motorways. The property has plenty of parking. Life has changed for us all over the past few months and we, like you, have been doing our best to navigate the new ‘norm’. The apartment is completely self-contained, with its own entrance, and a private patio space, and we will be taking extra steps to ensure that all areas are thoroughly sanitised, clean and compliant. We always schedule ample time between bookings for deep cleaning.
