7 The Old Bakery is modern maisonette, situated in the heart of Shipston On Stour voted "best place to live in the Midlands" by Sunday Times. The accommodation is set over 2 floors with a private entrance making it feel relaxing and set away from the world whilst being set in the centre of a busy vibrant market town. Benefitting from underfloor heating throughout there are 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 4 adults comfortably, 1 bathroom with shower over bath, and a social living/dining kitchen area. Our maisonette is newly built to a high standard and so there is minimal sound from direct neighbours. Once you have walked up the privately entered stairwell you are in your own cosy corner of the world, Sunday mornings are a treat with no distractions other than the distant church bells. The Old Bakery is located next to the main town centre car park and so parking is ample. The kitchen is fully integrated with washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer. Parking directly outside the flat is pay and display between Monday to Friday 9am till 6pm, free on Sundays the cost starts at 40p for the first two hours. We have a handy map in the maisonette indicating three free car parks that are within a 5 minute walk. We live 10mins away and so are on hand should you have any queries. We will not interrupt your stay unless you need us. Shipston On Stour is a busy market town benefitting from numerous cafes, restaurants, pubs, take aways, independent retailers and a supermarket. Shipston On Stour is a great base for a Cotswold stay offering evening entertainment after a day spent visiting the more famous sights such as Chipping Campden (10mins), Moreton-In-Marsh (10mins) and slightly further afield Stratford-Upon-Avon (20mins) and Bourton-On-The-Water (25mins), Broadway (25mins). There is a bus stop at the end of Telegraph Street with links to Stratford-Upon-Avon and Oxford. Many of the smaller Cotswold villages are better suited to visiting by car. Trains to Birmingham are available from Stratford-Upon-Avon, Moreton-In-Marsh has links to London. There are numerous local walks such as Three Hills Walk and Shakespeare Way. We have recently started a grazing board business, Graze and Flavour, which you will find details for in the maisonette. The grazing boards are delivered with homemade sourdough and crackers. To offer a handy alternative to takeaways if you are staying in with children especially. We will need 24hours notice on delivery so might be something nice to look at before you arrive.
