A quaint cottage, at Aston Hill Farm, Ewloe

This is a newly refurbished cottage, which was originally a farm workers cottage, on a dairy farm. It’s quaint and very nicely finished. The log burner makes the sitting room very cosy. The cottage is attached to a stable block, and forms a u-shape of out-buildings, including our carpentry workshop. The main farmhouse is close by, but separate. We have large gardens, which guest are welcome to use, including a barbecue and pizza oven. Rural location, but close to lots of amenities. The property is located in the middle of four fields, so feels quite rural. It’s cosy and nicely decorated and we’ve aimed to make it very comfortable for our guests. We’ve selected bedding with a high thread count and luxurious towels. We have a very large back garden, with a treehouse, barbecue and pizza over, which guests are welcome to use. We are not keen on our guests inviting friends and family to join them at the cottage. Please check with us beforehand, if this is something you were planning. We like meeting and greeting our guests. Having grown up in the area (we’ve lived here quite a while..) and living nearby, we’d happily share with you information about the area, so you can make the most of your time, while staying in the cottage. We have good walks from the cottage, including Wepre Park and Hawarden Park. We have 4 pubs within 20 minutes walk and a fine dining restaurant and gastro-pub within 45 minutes walk. We are a number or National Trust venues within an hours drive; Erddig, Chirk Castle, Durham Massey, Tatton Park. Road links are very good and you can reach Chester in 15 minutes. Access to the North Wales coast and Snowdonia is easy, plus Liverpool and Manchester.
