Our home is a farm in the beautiful Lake District National Park where the scenery is breathtaking; we have spectacular views from the late 16th century farmhouse as it sits high above the Cartmel Valley. Cartmel is home to a racecourse, good restaurants inc. Michelin starred L’Enclume, Sticky Toffee Pudding, ancient Priory and the stunning Friesian Black Horses. The centre of the village (1 mile) is a gentle stroll. 7 seat Hot Tub & private woodland available. Bunk bed & cot on request. The farmhouse is on a working farm and it is the home of many beautiful black Friesian horses . Access to the horses is restricted, however experiences can be pre booked - The Friesian Experience . co . uk When not rented out, the farmhouse is our home. Dogs are welcome at £25 per dog per stay. There are several public footpaths around the farm and the private garden is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy one of the best views in Cartmel. Lake Windermere is a 10 minute drive away, Grange-over-Sands is a 10 minute drive or you can take a hike over Hampsfell to appreciate the stunning views of Morecambe Bay and The Lake District National Park and Kendal town centre is a 20 minute drive.
