Private fishing can be enjoyed from our private 5 acre island adjacent to Durweston Mill on the River Stour. A wonderful opportunity for photographers. Private parking. Here are a few highlights: I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob. I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination. I clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists. I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay. I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines. This idyllic country setting is nestled under Hod Hill (National Trust), with cycling or walking accessed from your door - take in magnificent views over the Blackmore Vale, popular with ramblers along the Dorset Trailway, the Jubilee Trail, the Wessex Ridgeway and Stour Valley Way. Nearby is Hambledon Hill, another fabulous hill fort with amazing views. The historic Georgian town of Blandford Forum is about 3 miles away, and includes various supermarkets, petrol stations and a twice weekly market. Places to visit include Poole Quay, Stourhead, Kingston Lacey, Sherborne Castle, Corfe Castle Thomas Hardy’s Dorchester. Poole, Sandbanks, Studland Bay and Bournemouth are within 30-45 minutes drive, and within easy reach are the cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester, the New Forest and Christchurch. Shop/post office, pub and restaurant 5 minutes walk. The village bus timetable is available as are various local taxi numbers. We also have another 3 bedroom apartment called 'Riverside' next door to Coopers, on the ground floor at Durweston Mill for larger families or groups who may wish to book 2 properties in close proximity to each other.
