♡ "Casa Giauni" in Triora
Welcome to one of the historic houses of the listed village of Triora. In the heart of the old town, this authentic 16th century house has been restored into a bright haven of peace. You will enjoy its ground floor, a 3 room apartment opening onto the enchanting mountains that make the magic of the Argentina Valley. Mixing antique furniture and contemporary paintings, including unique creations by the American painter Judy Sale who lived at Casa Giauni for several years, the 62 m² apartment seduces with its peaceful aura. Without vis-à-vis, it is very bright and looks out over the wooded slopes of the mountains in front of the village. You will lounge on the small terrace to the sound of swallow wings flapping, cat meows playing on the rooftops, laughter in the distance passing through the windows or going up the stone alleys. The apartment, on one level with the street, consists of a large bedroom with a double bed, and a small bedroom with two single beds. The living room-kitchen overlooks the balcony. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a bidet. Dishwasher and washing machine are at your disposal. You will have access to the entire accommodation. When I come to Triora, I stay in the same apartment. During your stay, you will be welcomed by a friend who is a native of the village and lives in Triora all year round. Like everyone here, he is a fine connoisseur of the beauties and secrets of his country, which he loves to tell and share with anyone who wants to! The apartment is located in one of the streets that descends from the main square, the Church Square. It is 5 minutes walk from Corso Italia where you can unload your luggage and park. Everything is within walking distance. There are no stairs. The church square is often lively in the summer, and although the apartment is a few meters away, once inside, it is absolutely quiet. In Triora itself, you can walk through the old village, in its narrow streets that are forbidden to cars, stroll along the cobblestones and whatever the path you take, you will find a breathtaking viewpoint. Close to the apartment, the village offers several cafés, a restaurant, a supermarket, a grocery store, a few shops for strolling tourists, and some other shops... among which the bakery whose bread is appreciated throughout the Italian boot. It is located in the recent part of the village, 10 minutes walk away, but you can also go by car and park in front of it. The most sporty can go for a walk from the village, in all cardinal directions. The country is full of opportunities for outdoor activities. In summer, Fabien, a high mountain guide, welcomes you to the village to present all this in detail. It is necessary to close the windows before any exit, because in the mountains the weather changes quickly! For long term rentals, I draw up a rental contract in accordance with Italian regulations.
