The house is an end of terrace 'upside down' house with 2 double bedrooms and a smaller bedroom on the ground floor and a spacious open plan living room/ kitchen with wonderful views of the estuary and harbour on the first floor. The house has oak floors except for the 2 double bedrooms which are carpeted. The third bedroom has a single bed and also has a door on to the garden. There is a wood burner in the sitting room which has french windows and a balcony and looks out over the estuary. There is a spiral staircase leading from the balcony to the garden. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining table can seat 6-8 people. The bathroom has a shower and bath and there is an additional toilet with a washbasin on the ground floor. The garden is lawn and shrubs and there is a large table and chairs seating 6 people. There is also a patio with a small table and chairs, a barbecue and a large chiminea. The back gate leads straight to the estuary path down to the harbour Guests can access the whole house and garden We will be on telephone and email access Rye Harbour is a village literally on a large nature reserve {Rye Harbour Nature Reserve) It is perfect for nature lovers, bird watchers and walkers. The village has a working harbour, a shop, cafe, art gallery and a pub. The shingle/ sandy beach is a short walk away. You can also walk or cycle to Winchelsea beach from the house (we have 1 pretty ropey adult bike for guests' use). Rye - one of the Cinque Ports is less than 2 miles away. Rye is one of the best preserved medieval towns in England with cobbled streets, fine pubs and restaurants and a good selection of shops. Rye has a rich artistic and literary tradition. Winchelsea is a short distance away. Winchelsea is a beautiful Sussex village built on the bones of a medieval town. Camber Sands is across the estuary and is a 2 mile drive from Rye. Hastings is 12 miles away and has a lovely old town . There is a regular bus service to Rye. Train connections from Rye to other parts of the south coast and London are excellent. The house is not equipped for babies and toddlers. No smoking in the house . Sorry no dogs
