Walkers/Climbers cottage - Snowdon, Glyders & more

This renovated cottage is the perfect base for those looking to tackle Snowdon, walk in the Glyders or climb in the Llanberis Pass or Llanberis’ slate quarries. Ideally situated halfway between Llanberis and the Pen y Pass car park, and only 200m from the park and ride for easy access to two of Snowdon’s most popular paths. CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR: Please see note below. The cottage is suited for one or two couples, or a small family. The house is not currently suitable for 0-2 year olds. In the lounge you will find a large sofa, Chesterfield armchair and log burner; as well a small library of outdoor books, climbing guides and a selection of board games. We don’t have a TV in the cottage but we do have fibre broadband. The dining room has a dining table and seating for 4. We have electric radiators (one in each bedroom and one in the living room). The kitchen is fitted with an induction cooker, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and a Nespresso machine. There is a washer-dryer here too. Upstairs there are two spacious double bedrooms, each with a double bed and plenty of wardrobe space. The front bedroom also has a desk and chair. HOUSE RULES: Please read the house rules before arriving at the house. We will send a reminder of the check-out rules the day before checkout. Parking for one car is on the road directly in front of the property. There is more information about parking in the house manual for guests who have booked. We do not live in the UK. We are available via the Airbnb app, phone or email. We have a very lovely neighbour who is available for any emergencies/urgent enquiries at the house (contact details will be provided if needed). It is a fantastic base to explore Snowdonia, with the garden of our property backing onto Snowdon itself. There’s plenty of walking and climbing from the front door or a short drive away. There are beaches not too far away, a great selection of mountain bike routes and plenty of venues for paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing. We’ve made a list of our favourite places in our house manual. The house is 200m from the Nant Peris park and ride, to take you up to Pen-y-Pass car park. The phone reception is poor in the house, but resting your phone on one of the rear windows will usually get a signal. We now have fibre broadband and feedback has been very positive on the speed! The closest shops, restaurants and cafes are 2 miles away in Llanberis. The village has a pub that serves real ales, food and has a pool table. There is a children’s play area in the village, turn right just before the pub. The house is on the Welsh 3000 route so it’s the perfect location for a stop off on the way past.
