The gatehouse of Dingle Dell, as seen on Grand Designs, is a unique cosy getaway for two with wood burner, beautiful underfloor heated shower room, round cob walls converted from my former bicycle workshop, with a bespoke handmade oak kitchen made from oak I have dried myself, delightful sleeping platform accessed by bespoke stair ladder with luxury kingsize mattress ideal for a romantic break Set amidst glorious Devon countryside The Gatehouse forms one half of the entrance to Dingle Dell as seen on Grand Designs. There is ample parking on site. Guests are welcome to explore our tranquil woodland garden with a pretty stream on which Otters have been sited. You are welcome to use the sun loungers provided on the sheltered yet sunny main lawn. I live in the main house on site so am generally available without being too close, it is just a short walk across the lawn and over the bridge to the front door. Ottery st Mary is an attractive historic town, full of many bespoke shops and restaurants With Chinese and Indian Cuisine as well as pizza available for take away and delivery, and perhaps the finest fish and chips in east Devon. The Rusty Pig is a unique fine eating house, well worth booking, and for those wanting the best quality fresh food for self catering Joshua's Harvest store is just a short walk down the hill. There is also a Sainsbury's for the more familiar groceries. Ottery St Mary is ideally situated to explore beautiful East Devon; from the coast at Sidmouth just 6 miles to the South or the County town of Exeter just 12 miles to the East Nowhere seems to be more than a 15 minute drive away! We have a professionally equipped gym sauna and games room complex which is available to book for your exclusive use at a supplementary charge when you are here.
