We will welcome you in marvelous and brand new double guest rooms of our B&B. The first part of our launch will feature 6 double rooms and 1 guest apartment. The next step in later 2015 will be 6 more rooms and 1 more apartment . The new project was officially begun on 21st June 2012, with the laying of the foundations of the new cellar and B&B. Given our history and vision of the future, it came naturally to us to want to build a ecologically advanced structure with a low carbon footprint that would prove warm and welcoming to our guests and customers. As the certification readily attests, our new B&B is synonymous with high energy saving, a healthy and sustainable way of living, and excellent building quality. Located at an altitude ranging from 100 to 350 metres, the estate belongs to the Colli Orientali Doc Zone, which extends north-east along the Friuli hills bordering Slovenia. It is characterized by sedimentary deposits formed over the millennia, where layers of marl, sandstone and flysch make for a rich, complex substratum that invests the wines with great character. Shaped over the centuries by generations of wine-growers, the vine-clad hillsides are terraced to reduce erosion, ensure improved drainage and provide easier access. These lands gratify the palate with what they produce, but also the eye for their singular and constantly changing beauty. Little wonder that the area has attracted numerous different peoples over the centuries, from the Celts to the ancient Romans, followed by the Longobards who descended from the north. Today the people of Friuli may appear somewhat reserved at the outset, but they will soon prove themselves to be welcoming, friendly and generous. The particular nature of the terroir, a number of unique native grape varieties, a climate that lends itself to grape-growing and the devotion of generations of winemakers together explain the production of great local D.O.C. wines.
