Dhom - A Modern Loft in a Classic Barn

Our family home is a generous loft style house hidden in a classic barn nested in Burgundy. The space is open and light, with original perspectives created from natural wood, glass and local stones. Renovated with a special care for comfort over the past 20 years, the house expresses origins and originality. It welcomes families, couples or friends wishing to relax, rest or get inspiration. The renovation idea is based on a fresh design which fits in a classic frame, like a second skin, with natural materials which respect the original construction. The house has been featured many times on French TV, published in Design & Architecture books and won National Renovation Awards. The building with 170m2 on its 4000m2 grounds welcomes up to 6 people comfortably, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms The house and premises are fully accessible : the open-plan kitchen invites to discover local food, and the various locations in the garden offer just the right eating spots to eat during any time of the day. Or you can dine inside, relax around the fireplace, dive into our books... or explore the many treasures of the regions (Alesia, Flavigny, Fontennay, Dijon...). We love this space and are happy to share it with you, as if it was a bit your own place. Before your coming, we will share with you all the house details with you to ensure a calm arrival and pleasant stay. Everybody in the village is friendly and discreet. We share part of our back garden with our neighbour's sheep (who keep the grass short and tidy). And if you want, you can buy fresh eggs from our neighbour. As we are in the deep country side, a car will be most useful for get arounds to go shopping or to visit the region. However, the surroundings are perfect for walks and bike strolls along ancient Roman trails and forests.
