Beautifully renovated rustic house with private Sauna surrounded by nature! Comfortable and spacious property with balcony, pellet stove and a Finnish sauna. Come and enjoy Rustic & Sauna, situated one hour drive from Locarno and 50 minutes to the ski resort of Bosco Gurin. You will be staying within a short drive from the Swiss Alps and some of the most beautiful sceneries in Ticino. At Rustic & Sauna you can truly take in the view, relax and experience Switzerland. The house is on two floors; all bedrooms, the kitchen/dining room and the bathroom are on the top floor, while the sauna is on the ground floor. On the top floor a bedroom with queen-size bed, a second bedroom with two single beds, a kitchen/dining room with sofa bed, two bathrooms (one with shower) and a balcony can be found. On the ground floor the sauna with shower and bathroom are located in an annex room. In the kitchen/dining room a pellet stove can be used to provide additional heating while also enjoying the warm atmosphere given by the fire. From the kitchen/dining room, guests can also access a lovely wooden balcony with a breakfast table. The property was recently renovated to provide our guests with all the needed comforts while retaining a warm but traditional rustic look. In the winter, just a few minutes walk from the house, you can find the Cappellina ski slope; an ideal place for families to enjoy some skiing. Thanks to two pony lifts, it is perfect for children of any age, especially for unexperienced skiers and snowboarders. Alternatively guests can drive 50 minutes and enjoy some skiing in the popular destination of Bosco Gurin; where 30km of ski slopes, snow shoe itineraries and kids village can be found. Within a short walk from the house, guests can also visit the suspended bridge of Someo; with a length of 380m it's the longest of its kind in the Maggia valley. South of the property, the Maggia valley offers abundant natural beauty such as the Val Bavona, the steepest and rockiest valley in the whole Alpine region (must see). Additionally, cultural heritage sites such as the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista and the Walserhaus museum in Bosco Gurin are available to visit. For those looking to hike, the Maggia valley is full of hiking trails and wonderful alpine lakes to discover. Further south of the property is Locarno, one the hottest spots for tourists visiting the region in the summer, as a number of events such as the Moon & Stars concerts, the Locarno Festival of film and the Luci e Ombre fun fair take place. Please note that a tourist tax of 2.00 CHF per person per night is payable on arrival. Please note that during Christmas, New Year, Easter and the summer season we prefer bookings of minimum 7 nights.
