Two Bedroomed Holiday Cottage with sea views

Menagwins Court is a modern development of two bedroomed cottages set within a courtyard layout built to take advantage of the fantastic views, over rolling countryside to the sea. Located in the small village of Gorran, just one mile from the sea. The cottage has two bedrooms plus a bed settee to accommodate a 5th and 6th person. The cottage is furnished to a high standard and has under floor heating and double glazing throughout. On the ground floor the cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with elecrric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine/tumble drier and a furnished dining area. There is a cloakroom with toilet and washbasin. The fully furnished lounge has a freeview television, DVD player with a selection of DVDs and a radio/CD player. There is also a selection of board games and books. From the lounge French doors lead onto the patio area with garden furniture and the communal courtyard with distant sea views across fields. On the first floor the cottage has one bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with twin beds. Each bedroom is furnished and includes a radio alarm clock and hairdryer. A bed settee in the lounge accommodates 5th and 6th persons at additional cost. All pillows, duvets, bed linen and towels are provided, (linen will be provided for the bed settee if booking is made for 5 or 6 people but can also be provided by request for bookings of 4 people or less). The bathroom is finished to a high standard with toilet, bath, separate shower and wash basin. The courtyard is a communal area therefore full access is available. The cottage has its own patio area with patio furniture. There is a barbecue area in one corner of the courtyard (barbecue not provided). The cottages overlook a field which belongs to a local farmer and may contain livestock. There is no access into this field from the cottages. If I am not at the cottage when you arrive you will find the key in the key safe alongside the front door (I will email you the code for this before you arrive). I am at the cottages several days a week and I can be contacted by telephone 24 hours a day. Menagwins Court is located in the small village of Gorran, which offers a store/sub post office, public house and beautiful Norman church. Gorran Haven is just one mile away and provides a slightly larger selection of amenities, a harbour and beach. The safe and sandy beach of Caerhayes with its castle, still maintained as a private home, is just 4 miles away and the attractive harbour village of Mevagissey with numerous restaurants and pubs is just 6½ miles away. St Austell, the nearest large town is some 10 miles distant and provides a much larger range of shops, supermarkets, 10 pin bowling and leisure centre. There are outstanding stretches of coastal paths and inland areas of beauty and heritage to explore. Cornwall is a beautiful place to explore at any time of the year, especially in the Spring with country lanes abundant in colourful wild flowers and the National Trust and other large gardens are at their best with magnificent magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias. The Lost Gardens of Heligan is just 4 miles away and the world famous Eden Project with its gigantic biomes offering a fascinating insight into the world of plant life is 14 miles away. A car is recommended to stay at Menagwins Court. There is a local bus service which runs 3 times a day to Gorran Haven in the one direction and to Heligan Gardens, Mevagissey and St Austell in the other direction. The coast path is just one mile from the cottage and details on a number of local circular walks will be available in the cottage. Pets are not allowed into any of the cottages and we also request no smoking inside the building. Short breaks are available during between October and the end of June, with a minimum charge of 2 or 3 nights depending on the time of year (minimum 4 nights Christmas/New Year and Easter). Bookings are accepted on a FRIDAY TO FRIDAY BASIS only during July, August and September. There is parking for one car per cottage, with parking for a second car by arrangement. There are NO facilities for the charging of electric vehicles. It is not permitted to charge electric vehicles from the power supply in the cottage. I can arrange for Gorran Stores to deliver groceries to the cottage prior to your arrival - please send me your grocery order at least 7 days before your arrival. You can settle your bill in the shop during your stay. If you wish to arrange for a supermarket delivery after you have arrived you can do this through Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys or Waitrose.
