Violet is a vintage, cosy traditional shepherds hut, situated just 100m from what is considered to be the most beautiful and dramatic stretch of Hadrians Wall and within the dark skies of Northumberland where the milky way can be seen with the naked eye. It is a short drive to the popular town of Haltwhistle with its excellent transport links and has the benefit and convenience of a bus stop just outside the hut. The hut enjoys uninterrupted views of Hadrians Wall & North Pennines AONB. Violet our vintage shepherds hut is situated in a completely private, enclosed corner of the garden of our B&B with its own seperate gated access. She is a large 20ft x 8ft providing a roomy and comfortable glamping experience with your own private wood fired hot tub (takes approximately 1.5 hours to heat and requires tending to once lit). Violet has a fully en suite toilet/shower room, quirky, wood burning cooking stove, full size double bed with memory foam mattress, induction hob (for days when you don't want to light the stove!), toaster, sofa, dining table together with and outside patio furniture, bbq and fire pit in the enclosed courtyard garden which has stunning uninterrupted views across to the North Pennines AONB. She offers the perfect combination of rustic glamping with total space and comfort in a beautiful, peaceful location under the Northumberland dark skies where the milky way can be seen with the naked eye on a clear dark night. If you want a camp site with a club house and disco, a stay in Violet isn't for you, but if you enjoy, peace, solitude, beautiful views, walks, nature, stargazing and history then she couldn't be more perfect. Dont be fooled by our postcode and postal address, whilst our postal town is Brampton, this is 10 miles away. We are firmly in Northumberland on the western edge of the Northumberland National Park. Private car parking is available on site. We will show you to the hut upon arrival then leave you in peace to enjoy your stay, although we are on site and always on hand should you need us. Secluded, rural, beautiful and peaceful, yet very accessible. Situated on the far western fringe of the Northumberland National Park just 100m from the most spectacular stretch of Hadrians Wall and within the dark sky Park and just 2.5 miles from Haltwhistle to the south and from the Northumberland/Cumbria border to the west and 10 miles from our postal town of Brampton (we have a Cumbria postcode but are in Northumberland) with its pretty cobbled high street. The Local pub which serves excellent meals is 0.7 miles/15 minutes walk from the hut and a bus stop for the AD122 Hadrians Wall tourist bus which stops at all of the main sites on the Northumberland stretch of Hadrians Wall is just outside our property. There is a bus stop directly outside the property from which the AD122 Hadrians Wall bus runs daily throughout the summer to all sites along Hadrians Wall.
