Getting to the city center is quick and easy: 10 minutes by car, 15 minutes by bus or bike. The famous Hellbrunn Palace (trick fountains, Advent market, park, zoo) is in the immediate vicinity. Many large ski areas (Flachau, Zauchensee, Mühlbach, Großarl, etc.) can be easily reached within 1 hour. Castle Hellbrunn (within walking distance): You never know what to expect in Hellbrunn. Only one thing is certain - it is a lot of fun. The trick fountains spray water from all nozzles and spouts, but no worries - guests might catch a few drops, but certainly won’t get drenched! This amusement is enjoyed by visitors from all over the world. But Hellbrunn is more than just its unique trick fountains. The palace and the surrounding park areas are places for celebration, for pleasure and recuperation. Just like Prince-Archbishop Markus Sittikus intended. Zoo Salzburg (within walking distance): From exotic lions to the domestic capricorn: Salzburg Zoo captivates visitors, big and small, with its wealth of animal species. Surfer Wave Almkanal (within walking distance or by bike) In the middle of the beautiful city of Salzburg, in the Gneis district, there is an artificially created wave in the historic Almkanal. The spot is right on the bike path from Gneis to Eichet or about 100m into town from the bus bend. The wave has existed since 2010 and was built by the City of Salzburg. Since then, a small surfing scene has developed around the spot. Since the wave runs practically all year round, you can surf there in all seasons. Waldbad Anif (10 minutes by bike) The Waldbad Anif is located on the outskirts of Salzburg and impresses with its crystal clear mountain water in the middle of nature. Many small bays and bathing spots allow you to choose your personal favorite spot. Our natural pool guarantees you a refreshing, tingling bathing experience with a feel-good character.
