The Old Reading Room West Stafford
The Victorian Reading Room of West Stafford is of historical importance. Used before the war as a reading room for the villagers and estate workers, the newspapers were provided, the village shop in the late 1930s, then a garage, workshop and a store room for the church. We have now lovingly restored, decorated and furnished this amazing building into a cosy self catering holiday retreat, "far from the madding crowd" Open plan, comfy sofa bed, wood burner, country walks and fabulous village pub. We live in the village so are close if needed. A quiet Village location overlooking the Church, close to a fabulous village Pub "The Wiseman", and just a few miles from Dorchester Town. Coastal areas can be found within a 20 minute drive. The Wiseman is a very popular "foodie" heaven and booking is strongly recommended in advance of your visit.
