Maison Marguerite

Maison Maguerite is nestled in a hamlet in the Poitou Charentes region of south west France. During the summer months the village is surrounded by su nflower fields. A haven away from the bustle of busy life.we are 40 mins from the beautiful town of cognac where you can visit the many cognac houses ,take a tour and do some tasting ,or walk along the charente river and take a boat trip. La Rochelle on the coast is in easy reach as is Bordeaux. Hi ,I am Tina and welcome you to maison marguerite .i have lived in chives for 14 years and been hosting for four years .I love meeting new people and have made many friends from hosting .I enjoy cooking and gardening and mostly use fresh ingredients from my vegetable in the meals I can provide if requested as a supplement .Breakfast is included in the price .I do have two old dogs and a cat .I also accept dogs which are know is helpful to many people as leaving a dog in kennels can be worrying if there not used to it . I like getting to know my guests ,but also appreciate if they want there own space ,but always around if anything needed Although we are situated in a small hamlet we are very lucky to have a plan d,eau 5 mins away with a man made beach for swimming and a rustic restaurant where you can eat and purchase drinks and snack all day .5 mins in the other direction is the village of nere where there is the st Pierre bistrot which serves good food and is a lively bar to watch the world go by . Also aulnay de saintonge is 25 mins away and has a very lively market on a Sunday morning,and has three bars and where food is available and another on the outside with a beautiful garden ,and restaurant
