Appledore is a beautiful Kent village, near the border with East Sussex. Appledore has a pub, tea room, antique shop and a well-stocked village store. The medieval town of Rye and the pretty town of Tenterden are both a ten-minute drive away. Appledore sits on the edge of the hauntingly beautiful Romney Marsh. Plenty of cycle and walking routes can be found in the vicinity. The famous beach at Camber (Camber Sands) is a 20-minute drive. There is plenty to do with children in the area. The Rare Breeds Centre – a sweet farm with petting sessions, soft play and outdoor playgrounds – is a ten-minute drive. The Kent & East Sussex Railway operates steam trains from nearby Tenterden. Grove Farm Riding School is located in Iden, a 15-minute drive away. There are also several fabulous beaches and plenty of family-friendly restaurants in the area. There are leaflets and an information pack in the property and Amy is on hand to help with recommendations. The property is a 25-minute drive from junction 10 on the M20. When entering the village from that direction, keep going until you see the village shop on your left. The main house is a few hundred yards along on the right (42-44 The Street), and The Outbuilding is down the drive to the left of the property. Appledore station is a three-minute drive from the village centre. Walking is not recommended from the station to the property. If travelling by train, alighting at nearby Rye or Ashford is preferable because taxis can be arranged from both towns. We are very conveniently located for the Eurostar and Eurotunnel. Parking is available both on and off street.
