The Dell is a newly renovated, one bedroom apartment set in a tranquil 3-acre homestead, surrounded by trees, plants & birdsong. The Dell has its own private garden space with patio, table, chairs & small pond. The combined kitchen & living space has a comfortable sofa, TV & dining table, kitchen run with oven, induction hob, fridge & small freezer. The cosy bedroom has a comfortable king size bed & looks out onto our small apple orchard. The Bathroom has a small bath & walk in shower. Tucked away in a peaceful corner of Cornwall, The Dell is set on an old farmstead, full of trees & plants both wild & cultivated. It is both people & wildlife friendly, with great opportunities for relaxing, bird watching & star gazing. The Dell is set on our drive on one side and lined by hedges and trees on the other side. The main house (our home) is approximately 20 metres away, (there is some visibility between the 2 properties.) The rest of the surrounding 3 acre gardens and land are private and only accessible by prior arrangement - please ask if you'd like to look around. We will usually meet & greet guests and be on call for anything urgent. There is a key box if needed. Guests are independent during their stay. Tucked away in a country lane, The Dell is a 5 minute walk from the centre of the quiet village of Illogan. The nearest beaches are Porthtowan (approx 3 miles) great for surf, swims, walks, and hanging out in the lovely cafe bars. Portreath (2 miles), a good family beach, great for swimming & proximity to amenities. We are also just 1 mile from the beautiful Tehidy Woods and onto the stunning North Cliffs. Illogan village has 2 small supermarkets, post office, pub, pasty shop, hairdressers, chemist, chip shop & ( very nice!) Indian take away. The Dell is off the beaten track but very well connected. There is off road parking. We are 5 mins from the A30. Approx 30 mins drive to St Ives, Penzance Or Falmouth & 50 mins to the Eden Project. The nearest mainline station - Redruth - just 3 miles away. The local bus (no 47) goes to Redruth, Truro, Camborne, Tehidy woods and Portreath. From Woodlands you can walk to Portreath beach in 45 mins - off road, through the lovely Illogan Woods.
