Nestled in the tiny village of Owlpen, Courtyard Cottage is the perfect home away from home. In the heart of the Cotswolds in an area of outstanding natural beauty. This is the ideal spot for a romantic stay, a relaxing getaway or with WIFI throughout it is an idyllic place to escape from the city and "work from home". Just a short drive away from Stroud farmer's market, local gigs, relaxing spas and the beautiful town of Tetbury. Courtyard Cottage is a beautiful self-contained cottage with ample room to relax and enjoy your stay. The front door leads into a small porch before entering a lovely kitchen & breakfast area. Beyond the kitchen you will find the large sitting room with another dining table and wonderful views across the Uley valley. There is a newly converted office with two large desks, the perfect space for those wanting a change to their working from home scene. The three bedrooms are found along the corridor from the sitting room as well as the small but charming bathroom. General The cottage is fully renewable, powered by our solar panels and heated by an air-source heat pump. Room Overview A large Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen & 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom with a bath and shower within the bath. Kitchen We can provide a breakfast hamper to help kick off your stay. Just ask us if you would like one! The kitchen has an electric Cooker & hob, Microwave, Fridge Freezer, Toaster, Kettle, Nespresso Coffee Machine, Pots, Pans, Kitchen Knives, Peelers, Graters, Corkscrew, Bottle Opener, Picnic Basket and anything you can't find just ask - I am sure we can find it for you! Living Room Three two seater sofas , flat screen TV, Freeview, board games & Free WiFi. Bedrooms 3 Bedrooms Configured to met your needs: Bedroom 1: 1 x King Size beds Bedroom 2: 1 x Super king size bed OR 2 x Single bed Bedroom 3: 2 x Single bed The office: The final room in the cottage is a study with two large desks and a sofa - the perfect spot to work from the country during your stay! The laundry room: There is a large laundry room with a washing machine. Guests have use of the cottage and it's garden. The cottage has it's own office where you can "work from home" if necessary during your stay. We live next door to the cottage and are more than happy to help with any questions. The neighbourhood has lots of fantastic things going on all year round. The Cotswolds has many pretty villages with great pubs and cafés to visit. Stroud is well known for the Saturday farmer's market selling local produce . Cheltenham is nearby for the Races and many festivals such as the Cheltenham Literature Festival in October. Bath is a World Heritage site and is known for it's Roman baths and elegant Georgian architecture. Tetbury is very close and a tour of The Highgrove Gardens or a visit to the Westonbirt Arboretum with the beautiful autumn colours are both great things to do . The annual Badminton Horse Trials attracts international guests to the area. Locally there are many walks such as the Cotswold Way and cycle routes to enjoy the countryside. The cottage is located down a long drive surrounded by park land so it is best to have a car. Once you get here there are lovely walks around the area.
