A beautiful 17th Century stone cottage, in the picturesque village of Brookhouse in the heart of the Lune Valley. With neighbouring church dating back to the 13th Century which is recorded in the Doomsday Book. Cypress Cottage is perfectly located to enjoy cycling, local walks, friendly pubs, village store/post office and take away. Its ideally positioned for exploring the local city of Lancaster and Morecambe Bay, Yorkshire Dales or Lake District National Parks. We are Lancashire Escapes Cypress Cottage has been sympathetically updated to offer traditional comfort coupled with modern fittings to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay for guests. To the rear is an established garden enabling guests to enjoy alfresco dining on summer evenings. At Lancashire Escapes we aim to provide a personalised high level of service to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay every time. There is excellent public transport in and around the Lancaster and Brookhouse areas. Lancaster's main train station is on the main North-South rail line and the bus station is less than five minutes walk. Busses run regularly to Brookhouse from Lancaster. The bus service passing through Brookhouse gives regular access to the immediate area as well as traveling to the Lake District, North Yorkshire Dales and South towards Preston. Brookhouse and Lancaster are offer superb cycling facilities with traffic free cycle paths going from Brookhouse to Lancaster, Morecambe Bay and further afield. Cypress Cottage is accessed using a key safe. Details will be sent to guests the week before the holiday starts. We live nearby so are available if needed during your stay. The village boasts 3 friendly pubs serving food as well as a small Co-op store, chemist, post office and doctors Surgery. The village is also on the Lancashire Cycleway, offering countryside walking and cycling routes for many miles. There is free on street parking a stones throw away and also a free carpark within 20 seconds walk. Located on a bus route taking you to Lancaster and further south or North to Kirkby Lonsdale, the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. Busses run hourly. There is also a friendly village taxi service.
