Stay in our luxuriously appointed bespoke craftsman built Shepherd's Hut, set in a wild flower meadow in our beautiful East Sussex village. There are fantastic countryside walks on our doorstep, (direct from the Farm) two local village pubs and the village shop. Historic towns and villages, the South Downs National Park and the coast are all within a thirty minutes drive. This is an unspoilt and relatively undiscovered area in the depths of the High Weald of Sussex, designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Forget the pressures of everyday living, chill out, relax and recharge. **COVID-19.** The safety of our guests and the local community is very important to us. We have therefore committed to following the Airbnb Cleaning Protocols. We are also using recommended anti bacterial products to prepare the Shepherd’s Hut for your stay and in addition we are providing hand sanitiser ( 70% + alcohol based) , anti bacterial hand soaps, and anti bacterial hard surface sprays. Designed in conjunction with Roundhill Shepherd's Huts, we have created a modern take on the traditional Shepherd's Hut,with everything you need for a luxurious and comfortable stay. Set in your own private wild flower meadow.- The accommodation is for two people. Spacious yet cosy interior incorporating antique and reclaimed materials Full size double bed with Silentnight Miracoil mattress. Luxury White Company Egyptian cotton bed linen. Fluffy towels. Luxury toiletries and complementary hut slippers. En suite shower room with fully connected flushing loo. Combi boiler for instant unlimited hot water. Hairdryer. Comfortable upholstered daytime seating around a stripped pine table. Kitchen area with butler sink, fridge, twin gas hob, microwave oven and everything needed should you wish to self cater. Mains electricity, retro electric heater, tower cooling fan, Roberts DAB radio. Selection of books, games and puzzles. Local maps and 'things to see and do. Outside table and chairs, sun loungers and cushions. Cast iron fire bowl with BBQ grill (logs supplied). Complimentary use of two push bikes. Full daily continental breakfast hamper including tea, coffee,fresh milk, juice, croissants, local baked bread, preserves, yoghurt, cereals and fresh fruit. Guests have access to: Walks from the hut through our Bluebell woods direct on to open farm land, public footpaths and bridle ways. Your own wild flower meadow and stream side walk with picnic bench. Parking area. Two push bikes. Total privacy- no other huts or accomodation. We respect your privacy during your stay but are available to answer any questions you may have. We have lived in the village for over 20 years and are pleased to help with suggestions and advice on walks, places to visit, things to do and recommend good tea and coffee shops and local pubs and restaurants. Rushlake Green is a small but thriving village in the Parish of Warbleton, steeped in history, set in the High Weald of Sussex. We have a village pub, The Horse and Groom within walking distance serving food and local beers. We also have a great Village Stores with Post Office providing an extensive range of provisions. If you decide to explore the local area there are many things to see and do. We are only 25 minutes from the coast so the towns of Eastbourne, Bexhill, Hastings and Rye are all within a short cross country drive. Brighton is also less than an hour away. Inland we have many beautiful villages and towns with wonderful tea rooms, pubs, restaurants, galleries, National Trust houses and fine shopping. Some of these include Royal Tunbridge Wells, Battle, Mayfield, Alfriston and the historic County town of Lewes. There are numerous famous gardens open to the public and sporting activities nearby including golf, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting , sailing at Bewl Water and spectacular walks right on your doorstep or on the South Downs and Ashdown Forest. Quiet and scenic country lanes are ideal for cycling breaks and rides. Glyndebourne Opera is just a 30 minutes drive away. Our village community website - The Village Leaf - (Website hidden by Airbnb) has local information on what is going on, in and around the village. Public transport is very limited . We therefore recommend a car so that you are able to fully enjoy the surrounding area. Watermill Shepherd's Hut will have a delayed opening for the 2021 season subject to relaxation of Government restrictions. However, we are taking forward dated bookings under the Airbnb terms and conditions. Minimum two night stays. Other dates may be available by special request. Please ask.
