Menaggio BonnyVista
In a great part of Lake Como, we are a 10 min uphill walk through Menaggio with views across to Varenna. A great base for exploring or to relax. Recommended for couples, solo adventurers, or families (including children). We are in a small block, with families. We are set back from a road, the twin at the front. Most don’t find it too noisy but be aware of this, if sensitive to noise. We love Menaggio, there is plenty to do in the village, and it has great connections to the lake and beyond. 2nd floor apartment with 2 bedrooms. 1 double bed, 2 single beds. Front Balcony with view to the lake. Back balcony with mountain views beyond car park and connecting roads. Well equipped kitchen is part of the living area. Bathroom has a walk in shower. Washing machine available. Shutters keep the heat of the day from the apartment. Views to mountains from all rooms and a welcoming family home overall. 2nd floor gives privacy. Table and chairs inside and on the balcony allow relaxing dining, inside and out. There is a shared garden area outside the building and this is gated so for the apartments only. As the garden is beside the car park it is not often used by guests or families, as all have private balcony areas. Our co host is available for entry to the apartment and we are available by text or email before and during your stay if you have any questions. To ensure our co-host is available to meet you, we request that you give an approximate arrival time and contact our co host if you become aware of any delays, so alternative arrangements can be agreed, if required. Our co-host will show you key features of the apartment. Check in after 3pm and no later than 9pm, later check in by arrangement and requires additional fee. Checkout 10am or later by arrangement only. This is a residential area and offers local parking and easy walking or driving access to the town however it should be noted it is uphill from the centre of town but walkable in around 15 minutes. There is a cafe at the bottom of the block adjacent offering coffee and breakfast. Supermarkets are in the town along with smaller grocery stores and bakers. Plenty bars and restaurants in the town centre. Bigger supermarkets are a 10 minute drive away. Buses to Lugano are very close by. There is a road in front of the apartment which can have some traffic but it’s not a constant passing of vehicles or noise, just occasional traffic. Further away behind the apartment are access roads to the main routes to Switzerland and to other routes along the lake however there are barriers to prevent any noise from these roads which are effective. The apartment can be reached by walking uphill from the main bus and ferry stops in menaggio. If arriving by car there are a number of free parking spaces in front of and behind our apartment building. Although these are time limited to 4 hours duration, we have never had any issues parking all day. The bus from and to Lugano stops close by. The apartment is a short uphill walk from the centre but this results in a great view from the balcony. We are beside a road but set back from it. The twin room is at the front and more exposed to any road noise, but most of our guest and ourselves haven't found this disturbing as the apartment is set back from the road. Shutters on the windows also help in the evening, and help to keep the apartment cool during the day. There is a washing machine and clothes lines available for use. There are two large wardrobes in the main bedroom along with a large chest of drawers and bedside tables. There are two smaller uncovered clothes rails on the wall and under bed storage for clothes in the twin bedroom. There is a moka/stove top coffee maker, cafetière, kettle, toaster. Fridge and freezer, microwave. Picnic bag and cool blocks available. We have beach towels for use by guests. All linen and towels for guests use are provided.
