Capel Maentwrog is a stunningly converted chapel sat in the Snowdonia National Park, just outside the beautiful village of Maentwrog, 5 miles to the stunning Italian village Portmeirion, 6 miles to the breathtaking Harlech Beach, 7 miles to the buzzing town of Porthmadog and a stones throw from both Zip World and Snowdonia Water Sports. The chapel is on the famous Blaenau Ffestiniog railway route, so either jump on the train or sit on the terrace and watch the train go by. Welcome Please come and enjoy a beautiful private double room in my stunningly converted chapel, the beautiful views over the mountains, and the most amazing sunsets over Harlech beach, I hope you fall in love with Capel Maentwrog as much as I did... I’ve put together a little pack for you of all the local hotspots and best destination places, oh a few tips on the best places to grab a bite or a glass of something. Someone will always be there to meet you on arrival, give you your keys and local information pack. And can answer any questions on arrival. You’ll be able to pop to either the famous Oakley Arms which sits on the road to Capel Maentwrog and can be seen from the terrace, or pop into the village and enjoy a night at The Grapes Hotel, famous for their food and especially their amazing Sunday Carvery. Or pop along to Harlech for the best homemade ice cream I’ve ever had. The chapel has ample private parking. The chapel is sat on The Porthmadog bus route, with a bus stop 20 seconds away, which will take you directly to Portmeirion or Porthmadog, and with the famous Blaenau-Ffestiniog train station only 5 minutes walk away. The area is famous for its walking and hiking and offers many country park walks and is amazing for cycling. I’ll warn you now, you’ll come across a few hills though.. The accommodation is a stunning double room with a double en suite shower room. The listing does not include an evening meal or breakfast, as I’m hoping as you’re on holiday you’d like a little bit of a lay in, however were more than happy to provide a breakfast bag for an extra £5 including: 2 croissants, butter, jam, a portion of granola and a fruit yogurt. This would be left outside your private bedroom door ready for you to either enjoy in the room or take out with you. Please advise prior to arrival upon booking.
