Delightful French cottage with private garden, available for 16 day+ rentals only. Recently redecorated. 2 double & 1 single bedrooms. Log burner & gas central heating. Open plan well equipped kitchen/living/dining area. 1 bathroom with roll top bath. Wifi, laundry facilities, sat tv, parking. Set in a quiet village in the grounds of the Host family’s Maison Maitre. The Host’s English family live in the Manor House all year round, although your privacy is assured. The property is well furnished with cutlery, crockery and kitchen equipment including fridge freezer, gas oven and hob, toaster, kettle, saucepans etc. The property is opposite the host family’s French Manor House although benefits from private garden which is not overlooked by the host family’s house or neighbours’ houses. The whole house is for the guest to use - the space will not be shared with other guests/the host. The Host’s family will be on hand nearby if required and will be happy to answer any questions or resolve any issues with the accommodation; however, your privacy will be respected and in turn the host family expects the same. Approx. 1 1/2 hour from Toulouse airport, 1 hour from Pau airport, 40 minutes from Lourdes airport. 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour to several ski resorts, including St Lary- Soulan (approx 1 hr drive). Approx. 15 minutes to Castelnau-Magnoac and Lannemezan. 45 minutes to Auch. Located in a small quiet village, within a rural area approximately 15 minutes away from 2 charming French towns on the edge of Gascony with all main amenities (shops, pharmacies, bars, restaurants, markets, supermarkets etc). The nearest small village with a range of shops for essentials, incl boulangerie, mini supermarket, pharmacy, is approx 3km away. It is a rural area and so a car is recommended. However, the locality benefits from some fantastic scenery and nature - best taken in by walking or cycling. Stairgates and crib available if requested at time of booking. The property has no air conditioning but due to extra thick walls, remains comfortable temperature in summer and warm in winter (very warm if log fire lit in the evening!)
