You have access to one end of the house with private entrance, double bedroom, shower room and toilet and sitting room with open turf fire and sofa bed. Enjoy relaxing in the spacious garden and soaking up the wonderful views of the river Boyne. Or have a BBQ on terrace overlooking river. Hillcrest Cottage Drogheda is in the heart of the Boyne Valley, close to Newgrange and Dublin Airport. Within 10 mins walk of Drogheda town centre. Private section of the house with own entrance, double bedroom, shower room and toilet, sitting room with French doors onto the terrace and access to the garden and two BBQ areas. Lots of safe parking, quiet house and beautiful garden to explore. Sit having a drink as the sun sets over the river Boyne. Guests have their own entrance and can come and go as they please. The property is attached to my home however guests have exclusive use of their end of the property. I live in the other end of the house and am happy to share my house with you, and our level of interaction varies depending on what you desire. I am on hand should you need anything. The cottage is in the heart of the Boyne Valley with the garden stretching down to the river Boyne - within 10 mins walk of Drogheda town centre, 7 mins walk away to direct bus to Dublin airport and Dublin city centre, and a short car journey away from the train station. We are 30 mins drive from Dublin airport within 5 mins of the Dublin-Belfast motorway (M1). We are 5 mins drive away from the site of the Battle of the Boyne and the visitor's centre at Oldbridge. The house is on the riverside walk along the ramparts, part of the Drogheda Green Way. We are 10 mins drive from the historic UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth - stunning passage tombs that date back to c.3,200BC. Drogheda itself is a great location to explore with lots of bars and restaurants and easy access to the beaches of Bettystown and Laytown. It is also a good base to visit Northen Ireland - with Belfast just over an hour's drive away.
