Welcome to the Lardner Farm Retreat, nestled in the heart of West Gippsland. Choose to soak in beautiful views from every angle you can see. This home was custom built to capture the true beauty of country living. Sit back and enjoy a wine next to the outdoor fire place or looking over cattle grazing the pastures. Relaxation at its finest! The large house has several sections, as guest enjoy the west wing which includes your own large lounge room with a pool table, comfortable seating and tv. Entrance to the rooms is via the blue side gate at the rear of the house. Entry is via sliding door into the West wing. Hosts are generally on site to greet guests and will let you know at the time of booking if alternate arrangements need to be made for access We are available for questions regarding food, cafes, places to eat, places of interest Take a 10 minute drive into the township of Warragul, where you’ll find an array of fabulous bars and restaurants, the West Gippsland Arts Centre where terrific acts often perform, 6 screen movie theatre, local boutique shopping, Woolworths and Coles plus many other local attractions. Indulge at the ‘Brandy Creek Estate’ world-class spa experience set amongst the Gippsland vines – this is highly recommended and located only 10 minutes’ drive. If you like walking or scenery you can’t beat Toorongo Falls or Mount Worth or even a day trip to Walsall’s. Drive to Yarragon for a Devonshire Tea before exploring the many antique and boutique local shops. Visit Mt Baw Baw, which takes approximately 1 hour drive time. Enjoy excellent skiing in the winter months or bushwalking/cross country mountain biking in the warmer months Two minutes from Lardner Park facility, home of many farming, gardening events, weddings and functions There is a local taxi service. Parking is available on site at side of house Linen and towels are provided. Tea and coffee also provided. There is an outdoor patio with a barbecue plate available for use with utensils provided. Cutlery and crockery provided as well The kitchen is not generally available for self use but feel free to enquire regarding this.
