Farmhouse gite (sleeps 4-6)

We have been resident in France since the beginning of 2002. We are a very relaxed, easy going couple, aiming to provide the ideal atmosphere for both families and couples. There are easy journeys to : the Chateaux of The Loire Valley, the beaches/ports and islands of La Rochelle, The Marais Poitevin (also known as Green Venice) and Cognac. We enjoy the peace and quiet of the location whilst still being close to all amenities, ie shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. We offer two gites, one large (sleep 4-6) and one smaller gite that sleeps 2. The larger gite sleeps the 5th and 6th person on a sofa bed that is in the twin room. The sofa bed is better suited for children, if the 5th and 6th person comprises of 2 adults please let us know and we will try to offer something else.The gites can be combined to form one larger unit, therefore sleeping 6-8 people. Guests have access to all areas of the garden and the pool. There are many loungers and chairs and each gite has it's own BBQ and outside furniture. We live on the property all year. We are both bilingual and are always more than happy to help if needed. We always give our guests the space that they need but are more than happy to socialise throughout your stay. If you are looking for peace and quiet then we can provide it. We are in a small hamlet surrounded by fields. There is local transport in Parthenay, Poitiers and Niort. You can be in Paris via the TGV from Poitiers (40 min drive from us) within 2 hours. We are in a fairly rural location offering peace and tranquility but within only a 10 min drive to our local, historical town, Parthenay. Parthenay has many bars, restaurants and supermarkets. It is a beautiful town with lots of pretty walks which we are more than welcome to tell you about.
