Set back on a private 5 acres, 500 m from Arrawarra Beach. This rustic weatherboard cottage situated 10m away from our main house, separated by palms and water tank, echoes the beach lifestyle. Borrow a board, ride a bike or take an easy walk to one of the safest surfing beaches in Australia. Return to your bush haven and cool down in the 1 (Website hidden by Airbnb) pool. View the family of kangaroos. Light up the fire pit and BBQ and relax. Base price for 4 guests. Extra guests $20 per night per person. The cottage is situated next to the hosts' own house 10 metres away separated by garden screening and a large water tank giving seclusion. The gentle surf beach is ideal for getting your first taste of surfing or the more experienced can surf the famous point break or walk over the next headland to another pristine beach. The beach is also a beautiful place to ride a bike on at low tide. The children can climb the fort in the backyard, laugh and jump on the tramp or play soccer in the front yard. Our pool has stepped shallow areas for toddlers to young children and a deeper section. The cottage has its own BBQ on the back verandah and a firepit off the back verandah. This is a family friendly, wheelchair access retreat. Please note bedroom 4 is a walk through room to bedroom 2, but separated by a door. We have a pond surrounded by trees behind our own house accessible from the backyard of the cottage. Young children need to be supervised outside for their own safety. See photos. Coffee, tea, sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper. The cottage has its own parking area separate to our house on the east side of the property. A separate driveway access to the cottage branches off from our driveway leading to the cottage parking area on the east side of the property. (Our house is on the west side). In circumstances of large amounts of rain, part of this driveway can become too soft to drive on so it is recommended to park near our house at the end of our driveway and access the cottage from there. Guests can access the backyard behind the cottage including the large trampoline, wooden climbing equipment and swing. This area is screened from our main house so is quite private. Guests have full access to the shared front yard with pool. My husband Marek and I live in the house next to the cottage and are available during guests' stay for as little or more contact as desired. Arrawarra is a small beachside village. There are 2 ways to access to the main beach and headland. Please refer to listing photos for visual reference of entry to these paths. One is via a short set of stairs down to the creek at the end of the road and across a safe tidal creek. Another is a 10 minute walk through a reserve and bush track off Arrawarra Beach Road. Access along a path and footbridge via Arrawarra Holiday Park is not available to guests at the moment due to the concerns of the park owners of the spread of Covid-19 from travellers. This may change again as things settle. Coffs Harbour's Big Banana is 20 minutes south down the highway. Bike riding trails take you into the local town of Woolgoolga. Fantastic mountain bike trails through the state forest are only 10 minutes ride away on the west side of the highway. See the Trailforks app for more details. Ten minutes north is beautiful Red Rock, a lovely river outlet for swimming and fishing. For scuba diving enthusiasts, the world famous Solitary Islands Marine Park can be accessed through the local Dive School. Woolgoolga township offers a variety of restaurants and coffee shops. Woolgoolga Seaview Tavern and Corindi Amble Inn offer good quality and reasonably priced meals. Both are family friendly spaces. Limited public bus transport is available and Woopi Connect is also a budget transport shuttle bus that provides a good service. Taxi service is available. The loft is not suitable for young children or elderly as the stairs are steep and care must be taken accessing this room.
