New for 2021, set in the tranquil foothills of the South Downs, Skylark Shepherds Hut offers you a luxury off grid escape. Located on a beautiful arable farm surrounded by nature with stunning views makes for a peaceful, relaxing break. Skylark is ideal for visiting one of the many attractions near by (including Charleston House, Rathfinny Wine Estate, Firle Place and the medieval village of Alfriston), a stopover on the South Downs Way, a weekend of walking or just some time out to relax. Skylark is located in a beautiful grass field with glorious views of the South Downs and outdoor space for sitting around the fire pit. My husband and I are on hand to answer any questions you may have. We can recommend places to visit in the local area as well as good eateries within walking distance. Skylark Shepherds Hut is located in the peaceful hamlet of Alciston nestled in the foothills of the South Downs. Surrounded by farmland and nature, Skylark makes for a very peaceful getaway. There are many attractions nearby including Charleston House, Rathfinny Wine Estate, Firle Place, Glyndebourne and the beach to name a few. Skylark caters for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. We recommend that you have a car to experience the nearby attractions. Please note that Skylark Shepherds Hut is off grid. It has solar powered electric shower, fridge and lights with battery back up. For cooking there is a gas hob and a BBQ can be provided on request. We will provide you with either a continental or full English breakfast for each morning of your stay. Ingredients will be sourced locally where possible. We are also happy to order you some food shopping. You provide the list and we shall deliver it all to the hut ready for your arrival.
