To access Waves there is a key safe, this ensures an easy check in. 3 days prior to arrival step by step access information will be on your account. You have double doors at the rear of your apartment with a balcony, which has a table with two chairs and a bench for your use. Many Thanks Amber On the south side of the beach, Waves is a self contained apartment within The Beach House located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The beach is gifted with an array of water sports opportunities with Kayak and Paddleboard hire on the spot and dependant on the conditions surfing, bodyboarding and scuba diving being regular past times. There is a small beach cafe within yards of the water for hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks. Waves will give you immediate access to the south west coastal footpath, which is only feet away from the door, where you will enjoy breath-taking sea views, discover gorgeous quiet coves and experience the breathtaking scenery that Falmouth Bay has to offer. Mawnan Smith village (with post office, general stores, The Red Lion Inn, Cornish Maid Cafe and Casa Juan tapas restaurant) is just 1.5 miles away. For a good range of coffee shops, independent stores, delis and restaurants, Falmouth town is 3.5 miles and Truro is 12 miles. The Helford River renowned for it's safe sheltered waters is close by and there are many good beaches all around with Maenporth beach on the doorstep. Durgan is approximately 2 miles away on the Helford River and well worth a visit, as are the beautiful gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah nearby. There is an 18 hole golf course in Falmouth and a 9 hole golf course at the Budock Vean Hotel (approx. 2 miles), as well as spa facilities, an indoor swimming pool and restaurant, all open to non-residents. There are no bus services direct to Maenporth so a car is advised. To make sure our guests are comfortable and have a safe stay. This self contained apartment is attached to a family home they also have a dog that lives with them, she loves humans but she does not like other animals, so we have a strict no pets policy. Kayaks are availlble to hire on site, prices are as follows: £10 an hour £30 half a day (4 hours) (between 8am and 1pm or between 1pm and 7pm) Kayaks are hired solely at the guests risk. If the hirer is inexperienced then they should enquire about instruction before use. A Buoyancy aid will be supplied with each kayak and should be used at all times. There will be a surcharge if anything is broken or not returned as it left when hired.
