Looking to get away from the grind, get close to nature and unwind among some of the most beautiful views possible; the place will suit your palette. The cottage has a unique geo location such that you can enjoy an aerial view of the Dehradun city and also marvel at the hustle of Mall Road from a safe calm distance :) The cottage is your independent home that you don't share with any other tourists or in mates. While you enjoy the serenity of the hills of Mussoorie the idea is not to rough it up. The cottage provides all the comforts of a modern and well led life among the mountains. WiFi (50mbps) with inverter support for our work from vacation home travellers 1. Oil heaters in the living space and each of the bedrooms will help keep you warm especially in the colder months. 2. Fully armed kitchen - Fridge, microwave, cutlery and utensils. You have an option self cook or employ the services of a local cook (chargeable). You can also order in or from the mess at the premises which serves fresh made and tasty options from Indian cuisine (Veg/Non Veg). 3. Provision for tea/coffee as you enjoy the beautiful view of the sunset. Enjoy a few pre dinner drinks besides the bonfire that the local help can set up for a nominal charge 4. TV and Wifi will let you step back in the real world in case you really need to, our advice though will be to the contrary :) Power rarely goes but in case it does we have back through inverter, hence uninterrupted work from home 5. We request you to help maintain the serenity of the place and avoid playing loud music. Also smoking inside the enclosed areas in not permitted This is an Independent cottage that you don't share with anyone. All rooms, dinning area, outdoor sitting deck are exclusively for you and the cottage also has an independent entrance Welcome to your new home. However throughout your stay with us we would try our level best to make it comfortable and memorable. At any point of your stay please do reach out to me or your local host. Prior to your visiting the cottage I will share with you pre recorded audio clips on (Hidden by Airbnb) to inform of multiple small things that might help make your stay comfortable Jharipani is a small village/township in the Mussoorie district, a 15 min drive from mall road on one the most picturesque roads around Mussoorie. The area is home to some famous boarding schools - Oak Grove School (Railways) ands St. George College. It also found prominence as Jaypee in late 90s set up one of the largest hotels in North India. Also famous are Jharipani falls, the starting point of the trek is only 100m from the cottage. Brisa Cottage is part of a gated community called Kamal Cottages, built on what was King of Nepal’s castle. One can still see the ruins of the castle, now a heritage property. The area has plenty of space to walk around, has a fully functional mess which serves delicious India food with both dining and delivery options. Personal car can be parked outside the cottage or in the parking outside the mess. There is a taxi stand nearby, we will share the number and you could also take help from the local host Some nearby places: Jaypee Residency Manor (5-star hotel): Located 2 km away, the hotel has multiple restaurants, indoor pool and options for children entertainment (bowling, ice hockey etc) The Claridges Hotel (4-star hotel): Located 3.5 km away, nice restaurant and bar Jharipani Waterfall: A picturesque trek through the forest to the waterfall, a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) min walk to the waterfall Oak Grove School: Started by the British in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , the boarding school is owned and run by the Indian Railways. The school is spread over an area covering 256 acres Jharipani Castle Resort (3-star Hotel): Less than 100m away, nice restaurant with view, also can deliver food to cottage.
