Located in the village of Viade de Baixo in Montalegre, CASA VIADE is perfect for those who want to enjoy nature in its purest state. Located in a central location in the municipality of Montalegre, there is a whole “Wonderful Kingdom” to be discovered, from walking trails to imposing dams, passing through an entire heritage (archaeological, natural, cultural) where one can get to know the historical past of this municipality. Behind-the-hills. The ground floor of the house has a large kitchen-living room. The kitchen is fully equipped (crockery, cutlery, toaster, stove ...) and the living room contains a huge sofa with coffee table and cable tv. On the first floor we can find 3 bedrooms with double bed (one of them with private bathroom) 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds and a shared bathroom. In the chalet we have another bedroom with 2 bunk beds. We provide bathroom towels and bedding sets. Guests will have access to all areas of the house. The house is located in a small village, of the county of montalegre, where only the sounds transmitted by nature are heard. Heritage of the Viade de Baixo Village Alminhas da Custarela (entrance spring of the village). Main façade and chapel of S. Thomé (Matias dwelling house). Mother church. This monument was located on the Roman road, in the village of Cantina, which today is submerged by the waters of the reservoir, having been rescued by the population of Viade de Baixo and placed on the Foot of Maria do Firmino in Cruz da Arouça. Later he was moved to that area, because CMM wanted to take him to the village. House of the loved ones, monument of public interest, with its coat of arms under the main gate, and the small chapel of St. Rita; All in very poor condition. In its interior grounds, in front of the main gate, there was a threshing floor with granite pavement and a canasta, and these were taken to a plot of land belonging to the Benedictines in front of the chapel of the Senhora do Rosario, where they still find themselves. Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Rosário and its cruise in front of the main façade, (older than the main church). Chapel of St. António and S. Salvador. Alminhas de St. António in the square where there was a Saint Anthony in wood, but since there is no door, all the children who were playing around, took him and had fun, until he disappeared. These mines are linked to the procession of the said saint, which took place every year, between the parish church and the chapel. Lately this route is no longer done, due to people's lack of courage. Ovens of the people, where bread was sewed, one in the highest part and another in the lowest part of the village, these kilns were heated every fifteen days with heather firewood, which they called the branch, and the farmers were always the first, There was always more firewood at first, then it was just warm mantel, until everyone cooked, running 24 hours a day. Later its warmth was used in the cold nights by the nomads, who were asking for it and stayed overnight. Sources dug into the rocks, where the people were supplied with water for their daily use. Source of oak; Source of the palace and source of the mud (before there is channeled water).
