Traditional 1930s Queenslander, updated and decorated to suit the modern traveller. Princess Cottage is centrally located, just around the corner from the Bundaberg distillery, Barrel Drinks and all that central Bundaberg offers. 2 beds, bath, kitchen, dining & lounge, self-contained guest suite. Read the house rules, additional info, "must know" before booking and message me if you have questions. High-set, quaint 2 bed Cottage, Queenslander style, with plenty of character. Originally built in 1930 it has withstood the test of time. Updated with modern conveniences to allow for a comfortable stay. Guest suite comprises of 2 x Queen beds, own bathroom (shower over bath), laundry facilities, kitchen, dinning area, lounge room. Fenced rear and front yard. There is a vacant bock behind the house also owned by the host. Guests are welcome to park there, off-street, room for trailer & RV. The rum distillery and Bundy brewed drinks are walking distance. Short drive to CBD. Popular takeaways and convenience stores in walking distance, same street. Airbnb messages are best. If I'm at work I will respond as soon as possible. Otherwise you can contact me on the mobile anytime although I sometimes don't have phone reception. However, I usually have internet so Airbnb messages still come through. Great accessibility to all the best Bundy has to offer. Walking distance to local convenience store, post office, bakery, chemist, medical centre and more East Bundy cluster of shops on Bargara Road or the other direction, Princess St. Mon Repos Turtle Hatching close by at the end of summer. Vet across the road from the house. Dog wash at puddles car wash $5. CBD and Hinkler major shopping centre short drive away (3min), take the bike if you like. Close to the Burnett River, Baldwin swamp park land and recreational area with playground, lakes, bike paths and many walks. Beachside town of Bargara 10 min by car, have a coffee at Rick's on the Esplanade. In Alexandra Street (2min walk from Princess Cottage), Ohana ciders! Must check them out. You can walk to Bundy Barrell Drinks and the Bundaberg Rum Distillery. Take-away at the East Bundy shops or Domino's pizza just down the road - walking distance. Bottle shop near Cutters Bar. Ice also available at vending machine from Puddles Car Wash over the road. You must check out Saskia's near the East Bundy Post Office cluster of shops Bargara Road. Gorgeously lush gift shop with a coffee shop and florist just next door. Try Passionfruit Coffee, Mary St Bundy East, just around the corner. Easy walking distance to everything, leisurely stroll into town or short drive to CBD. Bundaberg is perfect to get around by push bike, free for guests to use. Run along the river or explore the bird life, playground, lakes and walks around Baldwin Swamp. Unrestricted parking in Princess Street, in front of the house. Mind the big gutter kerb. I live on the same property in a separate apartment. I don't have contact with guests but am available if needed. You generally don't see me but you maybe aware of some of my movements. I park my car on the vacant block behind the house. I have a quiet sausage dog who is either on my side of the 6ft timber fence or with me. You are welcome to bring your pet to the cottage but please send a message to confirm they are house-trained, supervised & friendly. Main living, lounge & dining with air con, ceiling fans in bedrooms, operated by remote control. The guest cottage has gas hot water. There is usually nothing to do except when the gas bottle runs out you just have to switch them over by means of turning a small lever. This is very straight forward and easy to do, instructions in house manual and I am available for assistance also. Princess St is the main road to Bargara so you may have some traffic noise.
