Tweed/ Byron Bay Koolah Glen Farm

Welcome to Koolah Glen, 46 acres of pasture and forests. Older style, quaint, rustic comfortable country cottage. Close to World Heritage Mt Warning National park, Art Gallery, Tweed white sand beaches, Gold Coast 20 min, Byron Bay 1/2 hr. Bush walk, lay back or try spotting koalas. Old charm cottage with period furniture. Original wood flooring. Lounge and main bedroom have ceiling fans. Our water comes from the beautiful spring water from our property. Lovely gardens with fruit trees and access to vegy patch. Forest views with nature at your doorstep. September til November are good times to hear koala activity during mating season. Wake up to the birds. The house is screened except for back verandah. This house does not have indoor wood burner . There is a fire pit outside for camp fires. whole house bush walks, interaction with dogs,ducks,horses and other farm animals. Great open fire pit for campfires. Koala spotting. night walks to hear the frogs and wildlife. I have an above ground pool in my yard and idont mind if you need a quiet dip. Farm activities like helping feed chickens or ducks. Brush or ride horses according to capabilities. This farm is part forestry for koala habitat and guests can come out to see or help with tree plantings. Also vegetable patch and fruit trees Quiet country setting. Locally we are 10 mins to Tweed regional art gallery which is home to the Margret Olly exhibition. Local markets every weekend. 5mins to shops. 15mins to cabarita beach and headland where you can spot dolphins and whales Tropical fruit world is just up the road. Bus to Murwillumbah or Kingscliff each morning aprox 8 am returning apox 4 pm( not in NSW school holidays) There cheap "rent a bomb"car hire in Murwillumbah if you are wanting to save a few dollars Pick up from airport or bus can be arranged. Shopping...5 mins drive through cane fields to IGA on tweed valley way and Coles in Murwillumbah . Eat out.... Thai and fish on highway just at condong. Lots of roadside eating out in Murwillumbah. Dominoes pizza does do deliveries. We like to see shoes or boots on while exploring the property. In warmer months please bring your own mosquito repellent. We live in an environment where there are bugs and beetles especially in the wet season. Best to keep screen doors shut. I do live next door and notice children sometime wandering on their own. I would like parents to keep and eye out for the children not to venture off on their own... horses..dams and other farm machinery is not safe for unsupervised children.
