Here at Whitsunday’s Hideaway Lodge we welcome your furbabies to the area where they too can enjoy the adventure and quality time with you. Boys, there's plenty of room for the boat too! With beautiful mountain views you can watch the sun roll up in the morning as you sip on a hot brew. Listen to the birds sing as they have their morning forage amongst the native trees and shrubs. Count the wallabies as they cross over the driveaway and have a laugh with the kookaburras as they stop in on the power lines. Not much planned for the day? Grab a book and hang out in the hammock chair on the verandah or grab the binoculars and play i-spy up in the treetops. Take a stroll down to the fire place with the esky and cold drinks. Clip up the hammocks and laze the day away. Before you know if you’ll be chasing the bickies and dip. Feeling a bit fresh or wanting to create a warm and cosy atmosphere? Throw some kindling in the fireplace as the sun goes down and watch the sparks against the dusky sky. Feel like cooking up a 5 course meal? With an abundance of appliance’s, a kitchen space to inspire let your inner chef come out and you will be eating like royalty. Set the mood for dinner with the fairy lit deck, where you can continue the cosy atmosphere among great company under your own private starry night. Getting ready for bed? Enjoy a hot shower on the bathroom balcony under the starry night. Keep an eye out for the resident tree frogs and gecko’s as they chitter chatter away. Better yet light up the candles and soak in an aromatherapy filled bathtub with the balcony open and feel the fresh night air as you relax and unwind. Having a night in? Chill out in front of the big screen and check out your favourite movies on the couch. Don’t forget to turn on the sound system for an epic cinematic experience. With extra plush queen mattresses in both bedrooms, whether you are on your own or with your partner, you will feel like you’re sleeping in the clouds. You will have the house to yourselves, with the underneath area including laundry. Complete access to the verandah. The small yard off the verandah is secured for your pooches where they can also access the verandah area. You can find us down the front of the property also :) Just a stones throw from town, Riordanvale and neighboring suburb Sugarloaf, host the beautiful Dryander Ranges, plenty of sugar cane and picturesque countryside. It has been referred to as horse country and horses you will see, with a local Pony Club near by. Plenty of wildlife roam, hop, and fly around these area's so be sure to keep an eye and ear out. Take a drive to Airlie Beach. Only a 14 minute drive and 12.6kms away where you can check out the main street and some of the local cuisines. Only looking to stock up the fridge and pantry? Drive into the Whitsunday Plaza in Cannonvale located only 7.3km away and approximately 8minutes to drive. The house is set back and up a hill approx 100m from road. The first half of the driveway is gravel and during excessive rainfall can become extremely slippery. Due to water limitations and rocky sub surfaces the property can appear very dry during the warmer months as irrigation is not established. The local wildlife & geckos! may leave droppings around on the verandah after checking things out. These may appear indoors also (geckos). There are guinea foul that roam between neighbouring properties and Hideaway Lodge. These funny characters can make a great amount of noise at times in.
