Malavli Retreat - Bungalow with Mountain View

Private bungalow located in Malavli/Karla, set on a 1 acre plot with a large landscaped garden, overlooking the Sahyadri hills. The bungalow is close to the Bhaja and Karla caves, the Lohagad and Visapur forts, and nearby hotspots such as Lonavala and Kamshet. The bungalow is maintained by a team of permanent staff, with full catering option available. This one-storied bungalow is divided into three adjoining fully-furnished units, with six bedrooms capable of accommodating up to 22 people. Each ground floor consists of a lounge with TV, large dining area, toilet and kitchen. Each first floor has two spacious bedrooms, with queen size and extra roll-out beds, en-suite bathrooms and a balcony. Fresh linens, towels, and basic toiletries are provided. Guests have full and exclusive access to all areas of the main bungalow and garden. Staff quarters are off limits. Our Bungalow is managed by a Parsi couple and assisted by a full team of service staff. We offer catering facilities (charges are separate), with a team that can cook and serve you meals. The team specializes in Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines, and can cater to most food requests (special needs will need to be indicated in advance). Our Bungalow is close to several attractions which include: • Wet N Joy Water Park • Ekvira Devi Temple • The Bhaja and Karla Caves • Visapur and Lohagad forts. • MTDC for boating • Pawna, Bushy and Valvan Dam • Kamshet (for adventure sports such as paragliding). • Wax Museum • Della Adventure Park By Train: Our bungalow is less than five minute walk from Malavli station, which is serviced by local trains running on the Pune-Lonavala line. By Road: Malavli can be accessed either from Pune or from Mumbai by exiting the Mumbai Pune Expressway at Lonavala (not Khandala) and then proceeding about 7 kms on the old Mumbai – Pune Highway). As you exit from the Mumbai – Pune Expressway at Lonavala, you will join NH4 (old highway). If coming from Lonavala, pass the toll booth on NH4 and turn right on the highway at the Karla caves/Malavli Junction, at the site of a prominent road side temple. Drive past the first village (Karla), over the river, and past the Vedanta Academy, and turn left at the second iron gates (which come before the Malavli Railway Station level crossing). The bungalow is near Malavli railway station and is adjacent to the train tracks. There is ramp access to the ground floor, but the bedrooms can only be accessed by stairs. No smoking is allowed inside the bungalow. We have (uncovered) parking available for up to six cars. Separate accommodation is available for drivers and household staff. Pets are welcome
