Its Typical Bamboo Cottage with unique ecofriendly construction. Its in Natural surrounding. The Cottage is hardly less than minute walk from old parking lot of mawlynnong. Cottage location is very convenient to walk in village, Eateries in old parking lot are just within a minute walk. We also guide & assist for exploring Meghalaya for travel & stays. Its very well constructed bamboo cottage apart from toilet bath area , rest of all cottage is constructed by bamboo and palm tree stem. We feel glad to mention that its one of the best cottages in mawlynnong. Its a travellers cottage, so rooms and room space is accordingly made considering short stay of tourists. Being walls of cottage also of bamboo , they are not sound proof and can not make sound proof and to keep its natural look as it is, we have not changed it. guest have access all over in cottage its veranda and in surrounding small yard Our onsite host Mr. Laphrange always helpful to the guests also discuss different needs and requirements guest have like food, travel arrangement, explaining different trek routes from mawlynnong, guide arrangement for trek etc. Whole mawlynnong village is like a garden beautiful small walkways everywhere. Also there are some trek routes to enjoy more nature around in valley. Also there are some bamboo brackets made to climb up high to see view around and also bangladesh border can be viewed. Our cottage is hardly 5 mins walk away from parking lot. there would be sharing vehicle to go to shilong . or other option to go to shilong is renting separate car. Shilong is at 2.5 hrs drive from mawlynnong approx. Shiling to Guwahati its 3 hrs drive approx. cherapunjee is 2.5 hrs drive approx.
