A Non-Smoking Cottage that is Free-Standing and separate from the main house. We are a unique beachfront property in a quiet, safe neighborhood. We are in a location surrounded by nature with beachwalks and bushwalks. PLEASE NOTE: We provide small kitchen appliances and a microwave to prepare small meals. Regrettably, we can only offer a full kitchen to guests who stay 2 weeks or longer. We are only 10 klm to the Hobart CBD and Salamanca. Bus system available 18 hours a day. Please click on the photos above to read the captions for each photo. We have a modern ' cottage style' studio apartment totally separated metres from our main house. The decor has been selected to reflect the beautiful outside environment and provide a comfortable relaxed living environment. Art work is locally sourced and again reflects the surrounds. A Daikin heat pump, quilted Doona, electric blanket, and throws are supplied so you can lounge with a variety of comfort options. We ask that you please turn off the heating and lights whenever you leave the cottage, thank you. It only takes 4 minutes to warm up the cottage when you return. The entrance to the cottage is on the left side of the property. You enter through a small gate. There are 7 stairs ( with a mid-way landing) to the front door of the cottage. Guests can always call or text me on my mobile phone anytime at all. I want your stay to be problem-free! Statistically, our neighborhood is the quietest and safest in all of Hobart. It's common for locals to say ' hello' and most are willing to help you with directions or leisure recommendations if asked. Most Tasmanians feel very fortunate to live on such a beautiful island and are generally a warm and hospitable lot. We have a footpath (concrete sidewalk) from behind our house all the way to Hobart central and beyond. It is 10 kilometres to the centre of Hobart or Salamanca. We also have a great bus system that runs daily on the half hour except Sunday's on the hour. Very reasonable fares too, about $4. A timetable is permanently displayed at our local bus stop. There is also a marked bicycle path from our house to Hobart and beyond on the main road. Please be sure to include a recent photo of yourself in your info page on Airbnb, as we like to see who might be coming to our cottage. This way we can recognise you as you drive up to our cottage! Thanks for this. :o) Always check the weather before you go out for a day trip from the cottage! Tasmania is well known for having up to 4 seasons in one day. Locals enjoy the changeable weather by dressing in layers ( it's advisable to add a coat or puffer jacket in winter). BOM Hobart is a great, accurate website for local weather. If you go on a lengthy bush walk it's best to bring water, and a rainproof jacket.
