Chesterdale is in the heart of Kuitpo forest on 32 acres, surrounded by 8,900 acres of pine plantations and native forests. Perfect for walking and riding, the Heysen and Kidman trails are accessible through our back gate. Famous McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills wineries are nearby, including an award winning one at the end of our street! A 50 minute drive from Adelaide’s CBD and a 25 minute drive from southern beaches, it is perfect for a weekend escape. The property itself is studded with centuries old redgum trees and a large variety of oak trees, golden elms, ash trees, magnificent hedges, roses, 2 acres of heritage fruit trees and a large kitchen garden. Inside, Chesterdale has been freshly renovated, offering a fully equipped kitchen with gas and electric ovens, microwave, coffee machine and generous breakfast provisions. Our bathroom features a Japanese style bathtub and spacious shower with fluffy towels and luxurious bathrobes. Relax in the lounge area with smart TV, satellite based WiFi & Netflix or enjoy the cosy bedroom with its reading nook. Outside you’ll find an outdoor entertainment area complete with BBQ and seating, fire pit and undercover parking. Lean back and enjoy the serenity, the clean air, the sounds of wildlife, and the starry night skies. We will meet you on arrival to show you the amenities and see if you have any questions or special requests. The property is a hobby farm and unless you prefer complete seclusion you might see us working in the garden, mowing lawns and doing general maintenance. We can interact with you and show you around the property - however, if you prefer, we can give you total privacy and space to enjoy a relaxing retreat. In addition to the nearby wineries, forest trails, birdlife and abundant kangaroos, the town of Meadows with its cafés, bakeries and renowned pizzeria is a mere 10 minute drive away. If you are here on a Saturday morning, the vibrant market at Willunga is 20 minutes away. There are many restaurants and hotels with fine dining options in the neighbouring townships, eg Macclesfield – we would be happy to advise you.
