A well laid out fully equipped kitchen/pantry. A basement entertainment includes a dvd player to watch movies . The loft is equipped with a pool table,cable TV, an equipped pantry with a fridge. Another place to chill. ( a balcony if you must smoke) Geographical diversity Sri Lanka's tea growing hills offer breath taking landscapes, steep hill sides cloaked in luminous green tea, cascading water falls was made into a summer retreat by the British. You can enjoy a full 18 hole round of Golf at 1890ft above sea level, it features fir lined fairways,bunkers and scenic surroundings... Horton planes national park is a protected area in the central highlands of Sri Lanka and is covered by montane grassland and cloud forest. This plateau at an altitude of two thousand one hundred meters is rich in biodiversity and many species found here are endemic to the region. Botanic Gardens - Hakgala , Twenty minutes drive from the bungalow, Situated at an elevation of about One thousand seven hundred forty five meters above sea level. The flora of the gardens is distinctly sub tropical and consists of the indigenous, montane flora intermingled with those introduced from other subtropical countries. The Gardens consists of a central pond and bulb garden, Rose garden, Glass house, fernery,Rock garden and an Arboretum. Guests have access to the basement, living areas, the attic; pool table, the pantry. Three bed rooms, the bed room labelled Daisy is off limits to the guests. The amenities excluding the washing machine( laundry) the use of the washing machine will be an extra Rs.500.00 for each load( for the detergents, electricity etc) As much we would wish to, we are in Colombo hence don't get much opportunity to interact with the guests. The public transport in Sri Lanka can't be termed efficient, however many tourists do use public transport. There are TUK -TUKS nearby which are cheap the care taker can arrange to ensure safety if you wish. If time and weather permitting, a visit to the Hortons Planes is a must. The drive to the Horton's planes is about a hour, the trek in Horton's planes, would take two - three hours. On the way to the Horton's planes is the New Zealand Dairy farm which is also a place of interest.
