Peaceful Retreat

Set in a 170 year old farm house. Very peaceful and quiet yet only a 5 minute drive from Douglas village and 10 minute drive from the city centre. Large landscaped gardens which you are free to enjoy and relax in. Very safe and quiet area set on a private farm. Shared house with the owner however the two spaces as mentioned below can be used exclusively for guest use. Large private room with high ceilings. Private individual bathroom with hot shower, hot water in the sink. Large windows in the room which bring in the morning sun. Large private sitting room with 52 inch TV and functioning fireplace. Private Dining room with 8 person dining table and functioning fireplace. Shared fully functioning kitchen with modern appliances; double cooker, microwave, kettle, dishwasher etc. 4 person kitchen table. Large gardens to enjoy. Fire pit area at night. Large trampoline, poly tunnels with mint and strawberries. 2 person garden swing. The house is surrounded by fields of barley in the summer months. I live in the same house so am available if guests need advice or help. I also understand if you don’t want much interaction. I don’t spend much time in the house as I am an outdoor type of person so guests will have plenty of time to enjoy private dinners together. Douglas village is a five minute drive away. Here you will find large supermarkets like Tesco and Aldi. Restaurants and cafes, pharmacies and 3 pubs. There is no public transport near the house. The nearest bus stop is a 25 minute walk away. I would highly recommend that you hire a car as there are no buses that come near the house. The nearest bus stop is 2 kilometres away. If you are really stuck then I can collect you from the bus station or Airport if it is a time when I am not in work You will be sharing a kitchen and dining area with the owner.
