**Welcome! Extra care is being taken in our home with cleaning and preventing the spread of Covid-19. ** We also expect guests to follow guidelines. The space consists of a private single room in a family home with a toddler and dogs. Shared bathroom. Beside Leixlip Louisa Bridge train station and 66 Bus routes as well as the Airport Hopper bus. Exit the airport and head to bus terminal number 16 past the airport chapel all the way to the very end of the bus park. 20 minutes walk. Very convenient location to Intel, HP and Dublin City Centre. Airport hopper leaves outside front door and takes 30-45 minutes maximum to Dublin Airport Beside train station and bus stop (35 minutes from Dublin City Centre) Airport pickup available on request for at a fee of €40 to cover fuel, road tolls, parking and our time but depends very much on our availability. Leixlip is on the Arthur Guinness Historical trail We live beside an old Spa and Romanesque Bath built in the 1800s. There is also a small waterfall and protected biodiversity area 10 minutes walk from our house. It’s possible to walk to Leixlip Confey or even as far as Maynooth along by the Canal Free Parking on street outside Sitting room, kitchen & utility room all accessible for guests Large continental breakfast is included in the room rate (on request only and is self-service). You must let us know if you want breakfast 🥞 in your booking request. Breakfast 🍳 consists of cereal, pastries, toast, tea, coffee, fruit, yogurt and granola. We try to buy mostly organic, local ingredients where possible. Available to respond to emails and text messages. Not always able to answer the phone as I am busy with the baby but I will get back to your messages within the hour. The Sitting room is our private family space. Please respect this. Guests should only eat in the kitchen, not in the bedroom please. Please no storing of food 🥘 in the bedroom especially not in the wardrobe. We cannot allow hot drinks to be brought upstairs or brought into bedroom as this is dangerous going upstairs for the guest who could spill hot drinks or spill scalding hot drinks on our toddler. Thank you 🙏 for your understanding and cooperation on this. Our neighbours are quiet and mostly of an older generation so you will have your own space and privacy. There's a main road outside that can be noisy during rush hour but mostly very quiet housing estate with trees and green area outside. Nice for an urban/country stroll. We are blessed with the proximity to Leixlip Louisa Bridge train station just 5 minutes from our front door which means Dublin city centre is only 30 minutes by train or car. The 66 Bus also outside door and serves Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and Dublin. There is a bus to Naas and Blanchardstown Shopping Centre and many other locations. Leixlip is close to the countryside and city. The best of both worlds. We have a 3 year old toddler (Jack) who is inquisitive and likes to peek through open doors so shut your bedroom door whenever you are not in the room. We don’t lock the bathroom door in case toddler locks himself inside so please just knock to see if bathroom is free. You won’t have to wait long. We have a dog (Abbey) so there is some possibility for noise at night. Please be mindful that we may be putting the child to sleep during the afternoon for his nap. We also have a 16 year old (Cristofer) who is very helpful. Under no circumstances do we allow food in the bedroom. This INCLUDES crisps, popcorn, pizza, chocolate. Water is fine if you need to bring glass water upstairs. Please eat in the kitchen This is for hygiene reasons. Meals can be eaten in the kitchen ONLY. The sitting room is PRIVATE. It’s the only space we have to ourselves please respect this. We like chatting and we want you to feel at home but bear in mind we have to give our full attention to the toddler and other children in the house or Neil (my husband) may be working remotely or trying to cook dinner. Just because we’re sitting down or watching the kids it doesn’t mean we’re not working or busy. We really don’t need to hear all your personal problems or what your schoolteacher did to you or how you lost your one true love. We’re not your counsellor. Please keep the subject light, chit chat and brief unless it becomes a natural interesting mutual conversation about your travels or work. Most of the time though we’re running a very busy, sometimes noisy and chaotic household. Please be mindful and respectful of the day to day running and management of the house. Guests will be expected to clean up after their meals and leave the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom as they would expect to find it. Please DON’T leave wet towels on furniture. Please don’t use place mats as plates and don’t run them under tap as it destroys the chipboard in them. Place mats are NOT to be used as chopping boards. Plates are to be used for food NOT the table or countertop. Mugs are NOT to be used as cereal bowls. This is considered bad manners in Ireland! If you spill something wipe it with a damp cloth and rinse and squeeze the cloth out after you. We clean regularly touched surfaces like door handles, appliances and switches throughout the day but the hallway and kitchen floor get very muddy and cluttered with all the daily traffic so please don’t expect the house to be polished and sparkling every 5 minutes. The floor gets cleaned at the end of the day when everyone is home. You don’t need to draw my attention to mud on the floor or ask me if I want help with cleaning. Take us as you find us. If you want a perfectly polished floor every day maybe stay at the Ritz. Please rinse out your recyclable containers before putting in the recycling bin otherwise I will have to do it. Read packaging to see if it is recyclable. Tissues, kitchen towel food waste, peels, teabags go in white compost bin beside the sink.
