Omokoroa Beach Seascape Unit – Top Location & View

Omokoroa is a cool little beachside community jutting into the beautiful Tauranga Harbour. It's just a 20 minute drive to Tauranga, Mt Maunganui & Katikati. The unit is perched on a hill overlooking the harbour to the Mount and is very close to the water, with all features & amenities within close walking distance - ie. 1 - 6 minutes. The unit is sunny, comfortable, spacious & self contained, with a separate bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom & patio. Located in the heart of ‘old Omokoroa’, this spacious and comfortable guest unit has stunning views across the ever-changing Tauranga Harbour to the majestic Mt Maunganui. It is suitable for solo’s, couples and small families/groups, with a queen bed in the bedroom, plus a pullout king sized divan that can also convert to two single beds. The unit is comfortable, spacious and largely self contained, with a separate bedroom, fully equipped kitchen (small bench-top oven with two hobs, microwave, and full size fridge/freezer, etc.), and bathroom. There is also a small patio with table and chairs at the front entrance, with drive-on parking in front of that. It has excellent morning sun. I suggest that you have a look at the pictures and layout before booking and if you have more than one vehicle, please let us know and we’ll make room. It is located below our house where there are two of us living most of the time – but you have your own private entry, either through the sliding patio door or a smaller side door. You look out across the drive to the Harbour and Mt Maunganui. We provide continental breakfast supplies including cereal, tinned fruit, bread, spreads and tea and coffee (including a coffee plunger) for first two days. We also have a couple of bikes that guests can borrow or there is room to store your bikes and other toys. There is also free unlimited wifi available. There is a washing machine but no dryer and there is a 24 hour coin operated Laundromat located close by beside the well stocked supermarket – and there is a large tub in the bathroom for rinsing things and also an outside hose for washing things down. A drying rack is provided. Access is separate from the main house, although there is a shared driveway - you may see us about a bit, especially when coming and going, but we’ll do all we can to respect your privacy. We are pretty friendly and flexible people, so please, if there's anything you need or want to know, feel free to knock on the door or call us if we're not home. Omokoroa is a lovely little community. Although it is starting to grow, we are located close to the end of the peninsular where it is quiet, with great views of the Harbour & Mt Maunganui - and located withing easy walking distance to the beach domain and all key amenities - except the golf club and skate park and playground which are just a short drive to. In addition, Omokoroa is just a short drive to Tauranga, Mt Maunganui, Katikati and Waihi Beach. Rotorua, Whakatane/Ohope Beach and Hamilton are just over an hour away and Auckland Airport is just under 2.5 hours drive away. There are heaps of things to explore, with a number of walkways, the Omokoroa - Tauranga cycle/walkway, the boat club restaurant and wharf area, hot pools....... or you can just relax or have a game of golf. There is a Monday - Friday bus service from Omokoroa - Tauranga, with six return trips each day - the closest bus stop is 400 metres from the unit. The 19km Omokoroa - Tauranga cycle trail is almost completed and it's possible to cycle into Tauranga and even on to Mt Maunganui. Families with 1 – 2 children are most welcome but note that the property is not fenced and the drive area is a bit steep. Kids are welcome to play on the lawn at the back of the house and even grab a bit of fruit from the trees. And sorry but we don't have any toddler gear such as cots or high chairs etc. Omokoroa is a very friendly community and we value the good relations we have with our neighbours – so please, no parties or loud late night noise. No smoking or pets in the unit please. Close by amenities include: beach domain and playground/picnic area, skate park & playground, boat club and ramp, fishing/swimming jetty, ferry to Matakana Island, walking tracks and cycle trail to Tauranga (access down walkway directly over the road from us), hot pools, golf and bowling club, boat club & restaurant/bar, cafes, plus various eateries, a bar, supermarket, medical centre, etc. Self check-in with key safe. Check in: 2-00pm and Check out : 11-00am – but there may be some flexibility depending on other bookings. Minimum stay: two nights.
