Centrally located, our place is the perfect, private, modern & well equipped base from which to access everything Newcastle and the Hunter Valley have to offer Overlooking and sharing a leafy valley with birds and wildlife, your privacy is assured and respected. By car we are 2 mins to freeway. buses trains shops 5 mins to John Hunter Hospital 10 mins to University of Newcastle 10 mins to the lake, hiking & coastal walks. 20 minutes to beaches 30 minutes to the wineries ** Now with NETFLIX included ** It's hard to beat our place for privacy & outlook. Our guests have full use of all indoor and outdoor facilities including the garden and entertainment areas. There is plenty of shaded, undercover space to lounge & have a barbecue or even to work if you nred to. It is perfect for 2 guests with a queen bed in the bedroom. However, it comfortably accommodates 4 people using the double pull out sofa in the lounge room. We can, upon request, provide a single pullout bed for a fifth guest. This will make things tight and is not ideal. However, we're happy to accommodate if discussed beforehand. As seasoned travelers ourselves, our aim is to make your stay as relaxing and nurturing as possible. We want to provide a private hideaway where you will find it easy to unwind & feel like you have left the world behind. However will still find all the beauty of Lake Macquarie and the buzz of Newcastle not far away. We are only 30 minutes from the Hunter Valley, wineries and Hope Estate for international events. ** We do not allow SMOKING in the apartment under any circumstances. Guests who choose to smoke indoors will be charged a $100 carpet and furniture cleaning fee. Guests have their own private access to the entire ground floor and outdoor areas. There is a separate guest entrance at the side of the house with access to the apartment via a lock box. I work from home so I am around most of the time. We are very friendly people and love a chat but will not intrude on your privacy. We are happy to help with any requests that you might have. Our place is a hidden little surprise package nestled among the trees in a very quiet neighbourhood. Our suburb consists of mainly retired people and couples like ourselves. If you stay with us you are a three minute drive from the commercial centre of Cardiff or the Glendale Supercentre where you will find local shops & cafes as well as most major retailers. Should you need to run your dogs there are 5 off leash parks close by. We are also within 5 minutes of John Hunter Hospital, the Sports stadium and the The local area is quite hilly & whilst we are within walking distance of trains & shops a car is recommended. An uber from the train station is $6 An Uber to the hospital is $8 There is an hourly bus service close by that goes to the uni & hospital. By car you you are within 15 minutes of everything Newcastle has to offer.
