Braehead Nature Refuge

Braehead is a 100 hectare (250 acre) protected nature refuge. There is a newly-built 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom house/cottage on the property. A totally secluded getaway with only 1 neighbour. Recharge with nature with an abundance of endangered flora and fauna, stargazing, bush walking (there are good walking tracks throughout the property), mountain biking and much more. Situated 15 minutes drive to both Mapleton and Kenilworth and 30 minutes to Maleny. Please note there is a 3 night minimum stay. This is a very secluded large property with virtually no Neighbours. There are walking tracks on the property itself and also within the Mapleton Forestry areas. The towns of Kenilworth & Mapleton are both around 15-20mins drive and offer a relaxed hinterland village feel with good pubs & cafes. Kenilworth Cheese Factory is always worth a visit. We are also around 30mins to Maleny, which is a larger town with much more to offer. Always available by text, email or call Our neighborhood is a very quiet rural setting. We only have one official neighbor, which is scheduled by trees & bushland. The balance of the property is bordered by forestry. There are walking tracks and mountain biking tracks within the forestry areas; together with waterfalls and rainforest to explore. Our property is around 15 minutes drive to the hinterland townships of Kenilworth and Mapleton. It is around 20 minutes drive to Maleny. There are plenty of attractions to visit including Australia Zoo; together with weekend markets in Yandina and Eumundi. We are totally off the grid on a solar battery system and tank water, so very eco-friendly. As a result you may suffer an outage prior to sunrise, which will charge up fast with the sunlight. You will be showering in tank water, so please use sparingly.
