Spacious garden to walk around and outside relaxing area. A spacious air conditioned modern bedroom and adjoining private ensuite. Fresh patterned linen. Ceiling fan in case you don't like air con. The bedroom looks out onto a large tropical garden. Louvres on two sides to let in plenty of natural light. There is room to hang clothes and shelves available. Hairdryer and toiletries for your use. Laundry available. Fully equipped kitchen for your use with basic condiments included. Foxtel available. We allow dogs and have a spacious garden for them to run free. Brochures, maps, booklets on Darwin and surrounds available. Continental breakfast included , museli, toast, Nespresso coffee, teas and herbal teas. Home made jams including rosella jam made from a local bush shrub. We have another room with a single bed available for $20 per night in conjunction with the guest room. We have a spacious property for walks and plenty of parking space. Lots of bird life here including the orange footed scrub fowls and the curlews with their eerie night calls, plus magpie geese and burdiken ducks in the wet season. Bitumen driveway to the house and a large spacious parking area is available. We are both retired and home most of the time. We enjoy entertaining and sharing meals with a glass of wine for dinner. We have three dachshunds and a whippet. So if you like dogs, ours is the place to stay. Dinner is available for $20 each per night including a glass of wine. Guests are free to walk around our garden and the paddock and enjoy the rural atmosphere. There is an active wildlife, lots of birds and frogs and magpie geese in the wet season and the curlews can be heard at night. We are on 10 acres in a rural setting, amongst eucalyptus trees in a quiet rural neighbourhood. It is best to have your own vehicle. We have chickens, ducks and guinea fowls. The tropical garden is large and at different times of the year we may grow paw paws, pineapples and bananas and some vegetables in the winter months. My mother lives next door on a large property and sometimes her donkeys, goats and damara (fat tailed) sheep will come to the fence. They love any left over bread. My three sisters live on adjoining properties down the road. There is a lot of bird life to see and hear. We are able to pick up from the city or the airport at a cost of $30 (private hire would be $60-$70), or pick up from the Palmerston Bus Depot for free. Public transport to the city is available about 5 minutes away. We are happy to take you to the bus depot. It is best to have a hire car if coming here to get around. The Darwin city centre is 20 minutes away by car. The new Gateway shopping centre is 3 minutes away ... Woolworths, Big W, dress shops, coffee shops, butcher, chemist etc. We have a bicycle to use and a bike track close by. We have a mini smooth dachshund, a standard smooth dachshund, a young standard wire dachshund and a whippet who are an important part of our lives. We are dog friendly and the large front garden and spacious front verandah is available if you have a dog. Separate dog area available if needed. Our dogs are friendly and popular with many guests. This is a no smoking property.
